Fun Fact- Renown railroad artist Ted Rose designed the original paint job for this unit, and unit 92. The numbering represents the year each unit was acquired by SFS, 92 (1992) 93 (1993) and 07 (2007). I really preferred the original paint schemes over how it's painted today, but at least we have pictures and models now to remember the classic SFS in it's heyday! Thanks for posting Tom.
Thank you for that info! I'm going to have to research 92, although I think I've heard of it before. I agree about the paint scheme, but the Sky Railway livery grows on you after awhile, especially seeing it against a blue New Mexico sky.
@@YardLimit SFS 92 was a gp7u same as SFS 07. It's original # was ATSF 2861/2075, EMD serial# 18566. It was sold by SFS and left New Mexico in 2007 for Oklahoma.
