Yes you do. As this was already an external spool winch I didn't cover every step to making a servo winch. In hind site, I guess I should have mentioned that.
@@hidingin sorry I referred to the wrong place in the video. I'm sure there are many ways to complete this project. Removing the servo electronics and using a winch controller was the most effective way to stop the servo from creeping, and create the space needed to run the spool.
