It's good to bring awareness to this phenomenon because there are many people that feel this way deep down inside.

We are all products of our environment.. be it good or bad.. it is up to each of us to find meaning among the happiness and sorrow.

Oh sister dang this is so right ! I did not know how much this has hit home. Self loathing , self doubt. We need this message to get out now!!!!

This message needs to be heard by many people. In this post-colonial "free society" we live in, the brain, which is the home of oppression, is often ignored. Great message you shared Zed! Thanks.

Well said - As someone who suffers from internalized sexism, I just wish it was more well-known and explored to find real solutions to undo years of reinforced self-hatred.

This is so true, I feel ashamed of my race this is due to the social normalcy and the media in the UK. In the Uk blacks are more socially accepted, particularly mixed race over south asians.

The reconciliation was necessary but the oppressors opening up about what they did during apartheid to us wasn't enough to set us free from oppression

A woman telling her experience about racism, and how it subconsciously affected her community (e.g everyday language promoting "whiteness"). I'm surprised it was difficult for you to understand, especially with a name like Abdi.
