Sometimes, out of boredom, I would try casting a match. Trust me, it's much harder then people say even through I have almost 10 years of Dota experience. People who say casters suck have no idea how taxing their job is, and they did all that for us, for the viewers. Massive respect to the casters, all of them.
Even though the aftermath of Tobi's scandal is very much well deserved, I hope we can let the man's legacy to live on. The fact that he resigned from any kind of e-sports related business shows how he regret his actions and try to be a better man for at least his family. I'm not saying that Tobi should go back to cast DotA games, but sure as hell he have created lots of memories of voice lines that we grew up with. Let it live, let them be his legacies be known to the next generation along with his mistakes. Everyone makes a mistake, and if DotA isn't what we gamers think the most toxic but uniting peoples in it's own way, I don't know what is. Congrats to Team Spirit, the champions of a new decade, new era.

@@timothyjo predatory behaviour towards the majority of the women in the scene, they knew to stay away from him and warned eachother. ultimately he had a slew of allegations of sexual assault and one claiming he raped them.
He may not be missed by people but even with what happened in the past, we all know Tobi was one of the best. We all enjoyed his "It's a disastah". I don't support that kind of deed either but I gotta admit, I miss how Tobi hypes up games and how he casts every moment of each match he casts. I only see it through OD and Cap nowadays. They're my top 4 casters including Dunoo, may his soul be in peace in heaven for always and forever. Anyways, just saying that a character like Tobi in TI is what people miss, I'm pretty sure lots of people would agree.
And now we've lost Tobiwan, because a girl didn't like his apology, out of 7.5 billion people we have literally top 3 best caster in humanity, and we cancel his ass because we get to know about his mistakes, like we are perfect...
Tobi to me is always in a different level, even as good as ODpixel is, Tobi's voice is just natural. Sad that such an amazing talent also contains such a terrible person...
I wouldn’t want Tobi back as much as he is a good caster. Having someone who’s been cancelled for sexual assault is not only bad for Valve but also bad for the people working together with him. So, no.
@@edch.4908 yeah but keep in mind these allegations came from like 8 years ago it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, even the girl who said assaulted her said he's changed.
I am from SC2 n we've got some amazing casterss even from back in the dayzzz like Day9 etc til to date... But i think dota2 is blessed with the most hyped n entertaining casters in the esports industry...jmo !!!👍😊
No amount of talent is worth an unsafe work environment. Boring, I know, but be mad at him for being a creep and an asshole to women on set, not the management for firing him
This is why I find it hard to watch professional matches from other games aside from Dota2. The casters and the casting, just completely different. Was fun watching Toby cast PUBG though.

@@INCNetski the man faced the consequences of his actions, ppl are acknowledging his legacy as a shoutcaster not his legacy of being a sexual predator. ppl can change and he massively contributes a lot in dota community.
