Everyone saying Josie killed her team by not tasting the food, yes. Tasting before serving is very important but she shouldn't have to sacrifice her beliefs for that. There have been vegetarian chiefs on Hells Kitchen, Masterchief & Masterchief junior who did extremely well or even won the constants without having to eat meat. A good chief KNOWS flavor balance and can correct as needed. Josie said she tasted it but than added soy sauce after adding chicken. That was her mistake. And if she don't taste meat juice (as vegetarians can get bad reactions to eating meat later which is why it's illegal to prepare different meats together or use a meat pan to prep veggies) than she could ask another to do it for her. We've had a blind chief win for Pete sake. A vegetarian chief can win without tasting meat. They just have to be aware of flavors STRONGLY since they need to compicate for that.

I think it's more of a cultural thung but where I am from, we don't force people into ingesting food they don't want to. It's fine she's vegan/vegetarian.
