As a limerick man I can honestly say that my heart dropped a little the day I heard CJ was leaving. Absolute legend and we will always consider him a son of limerick & one of our own.
CJ is an absolute gentleman, he gave it his all when ever he pulled on the red of Munster or green of Ireland. Was sad to hear he was returning to SA, but I'll always have great memories of him. A great role model and inspiration to young Irish players. I hope he and his family will be happy in SA. CJ will always be welcomed back to his second home in Ireland.
Mate the purists see it, our schooling system is currently under fire. We can’t knock it though as it gives our lads a dream and or opportunity. Of which we are truly great-full.🔥🇿🇦🤙✌️.
You can take him back to Ireland. He chose you guys. So I dnt understand why must we love him because he was born in South Africa. People celebrate and love you for your deeds. His deeds were done for Ireland. So I dnt know why we must love and appreciate him when he went to war against us. He chose Ireland. I have no love for him as a sportsman. Or county man. Go back to Ireland
@@answeredprayers9396 You've missed the point of my post completely .. I didn't ask you or the people of SA to love him .. I mentioned that we love him .. that chip you're wearing on your shoulder must be some weight .. Maybe in future you'll take the time to read what's been written before making idiotic responses ..
Much love to CJ, he represented Ireland with great dignity. I always felt great pride when he pulled on the green of Ireland. Irish people have migrated the world over for centuries, and in turn many people have come to Ireland to set up a new life for their families. Some people may have questioned him playing for Ireland, but for me what better representation of our country is a man who uprooted his whole life to start fresh in a new country with nothing but a dream to his name? The Irish rugby team represents a lot more than just a person born on the island of Ireland. He encapsulates that spirit of chasing a dream even when the odds are stacked against you, and leaving behind your place of birth to make something for yourself and your family. I am very happy to see he is content and living his life back home with friends and family surrounding him. Go raibh maith agat CJ, you and your family are always welcome in your second home.
I didn't realise how brutal the South African system is when it comes to rugby. My apologies and shame on the system that has made players feel unwelcome. You give alot for so little. Breaks my heart because you give so much to make me feel better about myself and our country.
There is certainly a close bond beween SA rugby and Munster - we have seen quite a few of our guys head that way, and all of them have come back with nothing but respect for the team.
As a Munster man, CJ has been sewn into the Munster fabric, as has Jean DeVilliers and in terms of opposition, what a an absolute beast and competitor Schalk Burger was. From management to players there has been a tremendous bond formed between the mighty South Africa and Munster. We were only delighted to see our own Felix Jones on the coaching staff to see the Rainbow Nation lift the Webb Ellis Cup. #PintsForTheBoys
This show makes me so happy, Jean and Scalla you both are such legendary bok players who make your country so proud to this day and are so humble and great to everyone you interview, it’s so cool to see more into the rugby legends who come on as guests and see a glimpse into your two’s personality as hosts. My fave show on youtube by far and the only show that really lets us fans appreciate and get to know players off the field ❤️❤️ also CJ is a legend, please never stop making these videos
@@TwoCentsRugby true story. I just love watching them because people have a misconception about SA rugby players. Maybe not so much you guys from the Long White Cloud because of the rivalry and Super Rugby but definitely other countries. Watching Burger being so calm must be a mind fcuk for some people 🤣.
Brilliant show Gents. CJ - it's a travesty that you never played in Green & Gold, but regardless of that, your career and achievements have been incredible. What a great ambassador of SA.
He is no ambassador of SA. This guy is no longer South Africans. He is Irish. How can you praise someone who went against you at war. He has done nothing for South Africa
As an Irishman I know he should have played for the Boks. The time it happened was luck in CJ feeling he wasn't going to be given a shot by the Boks and come to Ireland showed his worth and quality. We know the Boks made an error. How many caps would he have got for the Boks if given the chance, 30?
Lekker humans. Well done boys. Quality session. Wish I was good enough to have been interviewed by you okes. If only for the good humour. Humble solid citizens with epic banter. CJ, a man’s man. Sending regards all from Germany
You guys are the best for doing this show. These episodes have been absolutely awesome, the questions and insights are great and the banter is top notch. Please keep it up!
I was born in East london, partly a Irish, Welsh,French huggenot Dutch German something like that. Born in Africa. I feel like a weapon at the age of 47
Yes you right, Ireland won the first test at Newlands in 2016 when CJ was red carded for a late tackle on Lambie, but the boks won the next two tests in Jhb and PE to clinch the series, the newlands win was the only victory that Ireland have ever achieved against the boks in SA. Looks like Schalk had too many red bulls LOL.
I never realized that Juan coulbe funny? And I'm an ex centre. I'd love a shot. Anyway I support the Joburg boys come rain or shine. So only Schalk is unaffected by this 🤣
Arguably my favourite episode chaps. CJ is a fantastic player and ambassador for the game. Great insights from 3 giants of SA (and Ireland). Really also enjoying your analysis for Supersport - top stuff. Hope you get the subs for this channel way up. Thanks!
Want to ask Jean and Schalck their honest opinion...about Newlands...why dont x Wp and stormers players not put more effort in to keep this the home of Wp and Stormers.?It is if nobody matters...that is a monument in Cape Town..just as the castle is..and the Voortrekker monument is...Why dont nobody approach irb for funding? How can we demolish this monument?
You give me these guys and I will clean up their act live a clean moral life no drunkenness no alcohol never smoking and I promise you they will stuff the living daylights out of the British Lions.
Lekker CJ, ek was baie jammer toe jy die bulle verlaat het maar jy het jou uitstekend van jou taak gekwyt en SA se naam hoog gaan hou in Ierland. Hoop ek kan jou eendag ontmoet.
@@3storiesUp as a rugby woman supporter I agree with you fully. Rugby is no longer for amateurs, as it was when I was growing up, I honestly respect rugby players who work to be professionals.
Dirty player cost pat lambie his career. . I never rated him as a good player , certainly not in the Andre venter, juan smith or ruben kruger mould. He is far off the mark
Only real men don't drink alcohol. That's the main reason these modern players are such a bunch of softies and get injured and pull muscles at the least point of exertion.
Swearing by Rassie at the rugby meetings shows what a bunch of moral cowards these modern players are. Not one if these so called tough guys got up and told the coach to clean up his foul mouth.
