70K only??? There are 500K Indians, 250K Chinese and 25K Filipino international students. 80% of them will NOT be given PR status. LOL@ this claim of they were promised this and that - we migrated here as independent immigrants 30 years ago, fully knowing that it will be up to us to build our own lives without promises or guarantees from ANYONE. Yes, you have the right to protest as long as you follow the guidelines. You have the right to apply for work permit and/or PR. BUT there is NO guarantee that you will get it. So for those who do congratulations, and we hope you become productive residents/citizens and contribute to society. The people who made these “promises” are the recruiters and agents from their own countries of origin. Go back to them and ask for a refund. And those “massive” loans, that’s on you. Take accountability for your decisions. Moving to another country for whatever status is a risk. You decided to take the risk so if you fail or succeeded, it’s ON YOU not anyone else.
Remember: to be here is a privilege not a right. 0:02 Massive loans? Its your problem, not the Canadian government. Failing grades? Ask yourselves!!! 😂😂😂
When I attended SFU in BC, we were given appraisal forms of each professor I had at the end of each term and provide reasons for the rating. If enough students gave a low rating that professor would get fired. As a student in Canada, I was taught to believe the Professor works for me and they should perform up to standard
So they come to Canada on a student residency, DEMAND your failing grades pass, and then demand that your student residency/visa extends and or becomes a PR. The level of entitlement paired with the complete lack of self-realization is beyond repugnant. What’s even more repugnant is that we roll over and give into the demands of these people. This is so idiotic it borders on being satirical. I’ve never imagined I’d live in a country where visitors scam their way in with help from the government, refuse to assimilate or respect the culture of the country that adopted them, and proceed to demand handouts/passes, while putting in 0 effort on their own end. They failed because studying wasn't their sole purpose. Sorry for my harsh words but I have had enough sa lahi nila.
I saw these protests since I live close by Sheridan College on Steeles. I honestly feel like as you said, entitled. They got their Canadian education, work and life experience that should be enough to reapply to come back to Canada once they go back home and have enough points for a PR. If they can't come back, they can get better jobs back in their home country with the education they recieved here.
Nawawala na yun Canadian Values.. been here for 25 yrs.. when I first came here in Ontario that time you will feel people were very courteous, warm, there's the discipline. You could feel that immigrants were very welcome not much racism .. Those kind of people were gone😢
Filipinos are known for kindness just imagine this, if chinese and indians went to the Philippines make demands protest In manila and change the Philippine laws would you be kind to them too?
ordered in one of Tim Hortons branch where the staffs are Indians, so disappointing to encounter such an unrespectful staff. Iba pa din ang pinoy! Hope those hardworking pinoys will be granted what they want for 🙏
@@WorldTOURrific Nako I had same issues with them (hindi ko nilalahat ah) not just in Tim Hortons even sa No Frills or sa ibang commercial establishments. Mas ok talaga if puti or other minorities entertain you polite hindi bastos. Imagine hindi kana ganun ka hygienic panget pa ng attitude mo tapos ddalin nila dito sa Canada at marami sila, their not minorities anymore in my opinion kaya so appalling!
Eto yun nagbanggit ko sa isa kong comment re IS! As Ive mentioned most of the IS na nagpa part time job dahil sumabak sila sa gyera na wala silang baong bala ( pang tuition ) napapabayaan nila ang kanilang pag aaral kasi they need to prioritize yun trabaho dahil nandun ang pera na panggastos o pangtustos nila.
What I know, to study abroad means you're well off! What Canada gave you is a privilege to study here and also an hours to work weekly, a minus working hours to those who are legally working here! They even allowed these IS to bring their family! And allowed to work! Another minus working hours time! Don't blame Canada government for changing their policy on IS as this was taken advantage by your agents! You're not fooled by our government!
kahit naman nakapasa sila, di din naman sila tatanggapain dahil yong school nila ay “Diploma Mills” meaning di xa legit na school or university so sayang din.
I made the Letter of Intent of my wife when she applied as a student here in Canada. We were asked to put clearly our intent of going back to our home country and state as to how we can put to use the education we have learned from their school. There was no such thing as guaranteed permanent residence through out the application. We were even asked to commit that we will not be a burden to the Canadian government, yet, there they are protesting for the privilege they thought as a right. Thank god we are already permanent residence now through hardwork and through protesting.
Lol… PR through hard work? Your letter of intent was to go back after studies so you didn’t , you stayed back and got your PR through hard work ??? Contradicting
@@Solingling my question was, as per LOI did they go back after studies or not ? If not then shouldn’t blame the students too bcos all of them were enticed with PGWP
I think they came here just to work and not really study, they are everywhere they occupied most of the work force so how can they focus with their studies
The thing that I dont understand is IS dont need IELTS to go to school but landed PR does. Maybe thats why they are failing other that their focus is work not school
Dahil nagrarally sila. Kaya napapadali instead of February of 2025 pa ata un matatapos yung binigay nila.
Sinabihan sila na ang food banks ay para lamang sa mga PR at citizens, gawa ng the whole premise of international student ay sumumpa silang may pang-tustos sila for their studies, food, accommodation when they were applying for student visa.
Respect their laws and it is the hosting country duty to enforce their laws. Maganda din naman bansang pinangalingan.
Canadians are raised to not hate and to embrace diversity (including being taught this in all daycares/schools). People need to look at all sides. India has a 29% unemployment rate amongst it's own graduates. One of the big reasons why young people are leaving India in droves. Plus less than 50% of the 950 million working-age population in India is employed (compared to over 70% in other emerging markets). Amongst the Indian working group, many are self-employed and contain “unpaid helpers in family enterprises”. India has one of the highest emigration rates in the world. As many zero in on education as a way to gain access to a western country? Did international students/families pay into Canadian taxes all their lives like domestic students have (earning cheaper tuition fees)? No. Plus Canada did NOT tell international students/parents to spend/risk their life savings on a "Canadian dream". Canada did NOT tell international students to borrow money. Canada did NOT promise international students work. Canada did NOT promise international students money. Canada did NOT promise international students PERMANENT RESIDENCY. Meanwhile freelance agents have been operating in an unbridled market in India. Often by painting a distorted picture of what students can receive from Canada. Plus in recent years, a new type of recruitment has cropped up via foreign nationals as many "edu-tech" have created online platforms to connect millions of potential students with the recruiters. The sub-agents have absolutely no no direct connection with the Canadian college. Plus the college has no no ability to control their conduct. Indian sham operations abused/abusing Indian students in person &/or via massive advertising. PRIMARILY in their native language that most Canadians do NOT understand. Painting a false picture in their minds (of what Canada could or would or should offer). Canadians are seeing primarily Indians protesting & waving their flags on Canadian streets making demands. Because they may not have enough credentials to remain in Canada? And because rules designed to protect CANADA are not meeting their desires? Why isn't there crowds of African or Caribbean or Filipino etc., students making demands? They're in Canada too. And even though Canada is being falsely/unfairly blamed for too much, Canada has yet to deport students like crazy (but likely will soon). Instead Canada has been trying trying to find balance of who can stay vs go. While also trying to fix anything Canada did wrong. Create a better future. Why? Because Canadians actually care about doing so for both Canadians and international students. Canada's own youth are also victims of the above mentioned scam artists now too. Due to a severe lack of homes & entry jobs now in Canada partially due to Indian STUDENTS swarming all post-secondary SCHOOLS then 95% of the unqualified fighting for PR vs returning home when their SCHOOLING ends! Many asking for asylum too (which rarely leads to PR). Questions: ⦁ What is India doing about any of this? After Canada told India to halt Ghost Consulting. Many Indians keep saying their politicians are corrupt. True? Plus Canada didn't have numerous PRIVATE 'diploma mills' until 40% of international students were from India. Coincidence? Schools that Canada is shutting down. ⦁ What about all the YT videos that primarily Indian nationals have posted (for half a decade now including today) all advertising Canadian PR like they're selling a product? Promoting Canadian visas & permits & schools & jobs etc. etc.. Videos not only posted hourly but rarely in English or French. With very very rare input from Canadian citizens. ⦁ What about the IELTS spouses? Anchor babies? ⦁ What about Canadian food banks & other charity services being recklessly advertised on YT in Indian languages? ⦁ What about Canadian housing being scooped up en-mass as investment vehicles by, and for, foreign nationals? Some home rental/boarding signs stating "vegetarians only can apply". Often these 'landlords' also cram 20 students in a small home and charge them each way too much for rent. ⦁ What about Indian nationals buying local businesses then repeatedly putting Indians only in the top tier positions (while also changing familiar work practices)? BC & Ontario are also outlawing the Caste System. ⦁ What about the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortions across Canada? Diasporas stirring up tribal hatreds (in Canada) even though it all stems from their ancestral home. Why?????????? ⦁ What about the Canadian government launching investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections, stemming from Asia continent? Canada also had to end flagpoling at the border. Canadians are so so so not used to all this!! Do Indians care about Canadians suffering too? Or do they primarily want to point fingers at the Canadian government etc., when many things weren't in Canada's control? Why should Canada pay for what Indians did to Indians? Canadians want multi-culturism to succeed and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Now everyone I know is VERY happy with IRCC's recent changes (reductions & multifaceted investigations etc.). Including multi-generational long-term Asian Canadians MOST upset (by all of this). PS Immigration being decreased in: Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, The Maritimes, Alberta, Saskatchewan, & Manitoba. Chances are better for homebuilders, healthcare-givers and job CREATORS.
Thats true Ina!
I just don't understand something, the international students who protest over failing grades only come from a specific country. I don't see Filipinos or Chinese who have big communities doing that.
Maraming mga international students hindi pinapasukan klase, busy nag tatrabaho or sadyang tamad lang paikot ikot sa campus habang ongoing class then mag reklamo pag bumagsak?😳😮😳🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
CAN Gov. is at fault. influx of immigrant, international students and etc. for many years was the answer for replacing the aging work force in CAN but sort of back fire because affordable housing shortage that is happening now and trying to tame economic inflation. 70k affected is not going to change housing issue. There are more changes to come for the CANADA.
grabe ang feeling of entitlement ng lahi na yan.... di naman nag promise ang govt na i PR sila after schooling, instead it's their agents who promised them... in fact may condition yata yan na babalik sila sa country nila after they finish studying.. so anong kino complain nila? Inispoil kasi ni Trudeau..
Exactly.
when it comes to implementing the law Canada proven very effective on it. Regardless of your status and stay in Canada if Canada finds you lied on your applications just knock on your door nasa eroplano ka na pauwi.
It's not an assurance of permanent residency. saka san ba nag aral tong mga ito. Hogwart's school of wizardry aka fly-by-night colleges.
Watch niyo po yung mga documentary detailing yung situation nila before we laugh and judge them. Not just some vloggers news. Why can’t they study? 1) not having time. Is it because they’re just having fun? No, because they have to work long hours or go to long distances to pay for the tuition. 2) can’t study? Why? Kasi travel lang ng travel? No, because they have poor living conditions and live in an environment na 10 people inside a basement. While there are mga students na entitled, hardships of people are real and dismisses them by saying it’s not promised by Canada. The UN has already called out Canada for creating its own humanitarian crisis. The govt plays a big role in this. It’s easy to judge when we are in a comfortable place. Let’s add to the solution to the problem.
And how about investigating and asking about sa Filipinos side din? Wala, kasi alam natin ang rules and in the first place, kaya meron dual intent sa SOP eh pero risky kasi nga alam natin na pwede ka ideny if your planning to pursue PR
I think that’s the problem. Students must have funds to support themselves during their stay and not rely solely on their part time jobs and/or food banks. I know it sounds elitist or out of touch but that’s the reality. Canada is expensive. You should not circumvent the financial requirement by borrowing money just to show the visa officer you are financially capable.
I can't imagine the entitle of these students!if they have failing grades then ask themselves coz they were busy working instead on focusing on their studies.they came here as IS and not workers.their priority should be to study. If they have massive loans it was there decision and not the government of Canada.Canada did not promise guaranteed PR for them.kakaumay cla!
Ano ba purpose mo sa pag-aral... to get PR? The Canadian gov't can change their policy anytime so take note of that. They can cancel the restriction, extend further and even block this pathway for good. Gagastos ka to attend class while hoping to work and get PR later. I hope meron kang funds naka-set aside if things don't work out after your studies. This path has been abused kaya ito ang result.
Ganun talaga, tangapin nalang ang naging resulta. Ganyan talaga nangyayari pag naabuso.
Now this is it canada now is Waking up dahil naabuso na ang kanilang systema lalo na sa gusto mag canada. Just follow the rules of host country yan lng.
Dont expect too much.
