Yes you are correct but if you are not on detachment and leave the British army for instance and join ADF you obtain your citizenship in my experience where police don’t . Although after a time period everyone can apply for citizenship I guess .
As long as WA premier doesnt try to use them as a military force again. I remember they imported or wanted to import German officers to go to rural areas and force vaccinations because WA police officers were refusing to go.
Yes in vic there was an English chief commissioner and he tried and tried to fix the state’s problems and unfortunately didn’t work out for him and walked out.
He was forced out. And he was actually deputy Commisionwer Sir Ken Lay. Wanted to clean corruption and those bustards pushed him out. In the end he ended up flying back to testify against the chief commission at the time. For Ash's corruption.
I will never forget when the Australian police came to Christchurch in 2011 and showed the locals how they police and neither will the people who got beaten by them.
@@ImperialKnight86 The NZ government got some Aussie cops into Christchurch after the 2011 earthquake and the Aussie cops bashed the locals one so bad (an Autistic boy ) that put him into hospital.
It's funny how many UK citizens are actually serving in Australian government roles including but not limited to the ADF, ABF, AFP & state police. As we are still a part of the British Commonwealth it's fairly easy for British citizens to transfer from their chosen government job in the UK to the counterpart job here in Australia.
@@alanprice3065 Not 100% accurate......we have personnel in the ADF who have transferred from other Commonwealth militaries to serve in the ADF and actually are a part of the ADF as well as those who are on "trade" deals that return to their countries service after a few years.
@@thepainter1956 We also have Americans and probably French and personnel from other allied nations serving in the ADF and OGAs on trade deals who work/serve in the Australian agencies for a set period off time and then return back to their counterpart agency in their own country. Australia has personnel in other countries on these trade deals as well.
Yes but only for BRITISH POLICE from the United Kingdom and NORTHERN IRELAND... As our Motherland the UK Has identical policing methods and structure law etc. That's why we recruit British. We both drive on the left. You don't. We both have Westminster forms of governing. We use common British law. US doesn't. CANADA YES.. but I feel their policing follows the American methodology a lot more.....
Don’t listen to that guy. All State Police are hiring. As long as you speak good English and have sufficient police experience. Google the State Police you prefer to work in and find the requirements. You should be fine.

Yes, Common Law is kinda similar to the UK but is still of no relevance to this. We have British, Irish (Republic), New Zealand, Canada, Fiji, Singapore, South Africa, a few from France and and 1 from America.

The problem isnt the police. We have a great selection of officers. I think theres an issue with trust. But its nowhere near as dramatic as other countries. Tbh id rather be a cop on the beat in the states than au. Its far too boring in au lol.
Ahhh yes - WAPOL been doing this for years. Good old pommy cops come over on permanent residence - leave shitty WAPOL after 12 months and get a real job before they get citizenship.
