Now that I got the green screen hung back up, I had to play around, ha ha... Funny timing, my grandma gave me that catalog just a few weeks ago. She had held onto it since 1992, knowing that I used to love flipping through them as a kid. And it just happened to be from 1992, which was perfect for changing the Buggles' "back in fifty-two" lyric. Wooooo!! :D

And just to round out the philosophical part of it, I am super nostalgic for the things that have gone away but also pretty stoked for the new frontiers provided by that same technology. Wether it be staying connect to distant family, quick access to info that we would used to have to pay for like “how do I fix my broken clothes dryer” or the ability for creatives to do their thing and find an audience for them, the trade off seems balanced, but I will miss wandering the isles of Toys R Us just to kill time and clear my head. Oh my gosh! Great paro. Sad facts. I remember when the Montgomery Ward catalog came in the mail(real mail), and my brothers would fight over who got to browse thru the big ole wish book first!😢 Lol I was perfectly fine living the past(while it was actually the present) for 50+ yrs. NOW it's only fond remembrances... We enjoy y'alls cruise vids, this is the first non that we've seen. We'll be watching more.

Heck yeah, getting that wish book was the highlight of my holiday season! I'd fold down the corners of pages with things I wanted. Good times. My grandmother had saved and given me the Sears Wish Book in this video recently, because she remembered how much I used to enjoy them as a kid. Super fun just flipping through it again!! :D

Wow, yes we’re always up to something silly! I think this is the 30th actual parody tune we’ve put out on the channel over the years, hah! We started as a parody and music channel, thus the ParoDeeJay name as a play on the word parody. Then we started cruising and loved making those videos too! :D
