U have done a lots of video about home automation every time i will about manual operation switch alteast u made it thnks u lot for make this video we always support u sir
I have made this kind of project last year with 4 chenal relay board and nodemcu . Coding part has taken too much time for me to work perfectly with Google assistant and Alexa (without Ubidots). Coding is a big headache for me because I know nothing about coding modemcu. But I have lerned to understand other creator's code and use it for my purposes. It's very nice and pleasing experience to see your project. Keep it up... God bless you.(Because you are honding high voltage with Double sided tape)
Nice video, i have two questions here; 1. Can we make it three way switch by adding another manual switch? 2. Can more than one phones control this relay? for example i want all my siblings can also control my room lights and fan etc from their phone. If both features are possible i would suggest to make another video bcoz this kind of video tutorial is not available on youtube.
Thank you very much techisms for this project. We all inspired from your projects. I like all your projects. Keep going we support you through likes and subscribe. 😀
Instead of using esp-01 with two way we can use esp-12 with interrupt control so that we don't have to change our switch box as two way swiches are expensive and wiring is hard as compared to price of one esp-12
@@techiesms In fact the schema is good, sorry (I watched your video at 2:30 in the morning...) even if I would rather use smd components because they take up less space I find your choice judicious then easier to solder for a beginner. On the other hand I tried to reproduce your PCB with only two layers which drastically reduces the price (10$ the 10 PCB): easyeda.com/LeoHaize/2-layers-4ch-internet-and-manual-automation-using-generic-esp8266 I unfortunately didn't have access to your chematics because your website was down so make sure to check if I didn't make any mistakes. have a good day !
What did you use the MCT2E transistor for ? I had a problem driving a relay using a transistor connected directly to GPIO2 at boot up the esp8266 sets the GPIO to HIGH for few seconds and that turns on the relay is using MCT2E solves the problem ?
Hello Sir I have a question about your project..as your introduction its looks ok when we are in the room...but when we are out off the room how we decided currently Light on or off..how to indicate that light on or off by some one when we are out of the house....I saw when you off the light by manual switch still indicate light on in your smart phone..how to.fixed that problem also.. Thank you sir
It will not updated on software right now. He wants to show that we can also control with physical switch in case your mobile phone isn't available at the time. I think. He will rectify about status update on software in next project .
Hey I have a code that you can sync physical button with virtual buttons. If you turn on switch it will update to virtual button ON in application. It works with nodemcu
No need of adding optocoupler. Simply use bc548 as a switch. It is as good as prototype only. Because it may consumes power(for staying connected postion in relay component) even when you turn off applications. Use solid state swtiches or TRIAC.
You can't use just transistor with every pin of generic esp module. You can attach in nodemcu but you won't be able to do that in generic esp8266. Try on your own
Bhaiya ek help kar sakte ho ye bata do ki agar node mcu 8266 ko pura din chalaye to wo khrab to nhi hoga n kyuki manual switch k liye wo pura din on rahe ga
when we will trun off by using android phone... it will go last position.... what we would left... we have to turn off by manual two way switch.... maybe i am wrong... please correct me... if i am wrong...
but there is a problem, when you turn off/on the lights with the manual switch, it doesnt update the status on the app. So, sometimes it will happen that in the app says that the light is off, but actually its not.
Your all projects super but, Please make AC dimmer based on IR remote. I will try but not work. Some problem are get in IR based AC dimmer. So I hop you help to run the project.
15A 400W MOSFET Trigger Switch Drive PWM Regulator Control Can't use this module? After doing pwm from this module, it will not turn on again during power off. What can I do for it ...?🕺
Sir, this is awesome but many of the times our home switch circuit which is inside wall , when we connect it in real life it causes problems and connection is not easy
Very interesting the video so I wanted to congratulate you. But I wanted to ask you something about the project. When you turn the light on or off manually, is the status updated on the software? Thank you very much for your attention.
It will not updated on software right now. He wants to show that we can also control with physical switch in case your mobile phone isn't available at the time. I think. He will rectify about status update on software in next project .
Sorry sir i watched this vedio for late I have to make this type of wifi connected switch and I searched in amazon I would get only one channel board for 400rs but i think little bit and also I could get only wifi module for 150rs so i decided to make the relay circuit because i have all the required components but uploading the code to that module is tough for me so in new module there is coded already or we should code it
Everything is good sir but you are demonstrate ubidots iot but it only one month validity after that what to do sir My suggestion is to use another cloud platform in place of ubidots thank you very much
Create your own app use MIT App inventor (no textual coding required). This may be hard for the first time because you need to handle the client - server transactions by yourself. But later on you can improvise or customize it easily.
gr8 video... bt app mai pata nai chalega ki bulb on hai ya nai if u r controling using manual switch ...matlab app mai se tumne on krdiya so app mai on position ayegi bt apne fir manual off krdiya tobhi apl mai on hi position dikhayi degi
I was searching for this kind of project sir and thanks for making this. But what is the mobile app you have used to control through smartphone and can we see feedback on mobile app from switch if operated manually? And other query is could we control more esp8266 in single mobile application in the similar way?
Bro everything is fine but what is the use of this project being implemented using IOT because you can't even at least see the present state of your switch or relay(unless you are in the range of the appliance) through your IOT application and for this project demonstration we actually don't need a ESP-01 and an internet connection and can be done using a HC-05 and an arduino nano or you can create a hotspot using ESP-01 and then locally control it But what you done is cost efficient and with some changes in your code you can also see the present state of switch (better using adafruit)
@@techiesms really good decision bro and I am a freshman to engineering course may be i will have to learn a much from you bro but my comments doesn't mean your project is not worth because you made a really cost efficient project that can ever be built the only thing expensive is two way switches and ALL THE BEST bro
Hii When light is on by using mobile switch at that time mobile switch is on condition but light is off by using manuals switch at that time mobile switch is not off Also also this point work with Google assistance
You cannot make out whether you have your lights on or off if someone switches off the appliances with two way switch. Not helpful but confusing. Got to improvise
u can use the board switch to toggle arduino or esp signals ...just disconnect board switch from 220v line and connect it to 5v arduino line..works great
i would like to know why you pick six layers as in 2 layers also this work could be done.2nd I wanted to know why didnt use capacitor at ams117 didnt you receive heat issue when using?
First of all using more number of layers we can reduce the size of PCB. If I had used only 2 layers may be the dimensions of the PCB were much much bigger then this 6 layer Secondly I didn't find any heating issues with this
Hi Is there a way to update the state of the button on Google assistant once the manual switch is used to turn the device on/off? I am really keen to know. Also, can you please post a video on using “gbridge” with ESP32 using Node Red Thanks heaps
Sir this project pcb has 6 layer that's why it is so costly 87$ + delivery. Plz prepare some lower version of pcb approx 2 layer Because present pcb is difficult to purchase ... Thanks
IT Knowledge you can check the description where I have attached the link of one article.on my website. In that article you'll find the PCB design on easyeda.com
