This is beautifully done but it glosses over the trickiest part, so I'll drop it as a sort of "bonus challenge". Try to explain in plain words why is it that |x+1| results in the graph of |x| being translated to the left but |-x +1| results in the graph of |-x| being translated to the right.

Have a doubt, |x|-1 gives the graph which cuts the x axis in 2 direction, does it mean, it's a quadratic equation?

A quadratic equation always consists of a degree, linear eqn being ax²+bx+c=0 But in the question the function is a 1st degree equation which isn't quadratic
