Interpretation of beaver sounds

When I was a toddler, my classmates used to mock me because of my prominent front teeth and I still remember when they called me "Hi Beaver's Teeth!" 😅 At that time I suffered very much because of it, but now that I've grown up and I've recently noticed how cute and sweet beavers truly are, I admit that it makes me laugh like an idiot (a completely opposite reaction compared to the past basically) 🤣🤣

Well, my day is complete. Honestly, I could never let them go if I fostered them. They would be in the house at the dinner table. I loved all of their sounds, even the grumpy drama. You are so funny with them. I can see why they prefer the sweet potatoes. That rodent chow looks pretty bland 😄

I was a state park naturalist 40 yrs. ago. I’d take campers for a beautiful walk to a pond. There was a beaver lodge and one time we could hear all the vocalizing like these cuties do. I told folks they might be babies. So I may have been right! I could find no info back then on beaver sounds that’s for sure!

Thanks for the interpretation. I have never heard beaver sounds before and while I could guess a couple ("Get your paws off my sweet potato " and "I am a huge fierce Beaver and will savage you" while wrestling) I wasn't sure about others. The "Mom" call really stands out.

Little singers! Have you thought to figure out if they sing a particular note. For an example, I use to have a dog that when he would bark, my G singing bowl would reverberate. ...basically His bark was a g note. You are doing Awesome work (and understanding) with the Beavers! They are an intelligent helpful species to Mother Earth!

They are extremely cute to watch and they look very smart and friendly but I can only imagine how much work it would require to take care of them as they are wild animals after all with much different needs then what we normally see in pets. I wonder how their language compares to that of beavers brought up by their parents? When a human has no contact with another human from childhood, they don’t speak human languages. They just make primal groans and grunts. For all we know these may just be sounds that other beavers can’t understand, they may just be the beaver equivalent of primal groans and grunts.

When I first heard real beaver voices, I didn't believe what I was hearing. It sounds like a human voice. It sounds like a child or a female with a high-pitched voice. It is still perplexing to me. Beavers are such sweet animals. It is shocking to me that so many millions of beavers were trapped for their fur pelts in the 17th to 19th centuries here in North america. It continues to shock me that so many people here in North america are still so anti-beaver. Some people feel that only human activity is important, and any animal activity is something to be exploited and perverted for their ultimate means. People like this make people like me VERY ANGRY. They also give caucasion males like me an undeserved bad reputation. I am an animal lover. They're ultimately innocent. I understand their reason for existing and their right to a life unhindered by ignorant human beings. 🦫BEAVER LIVES MATTER!🦫
