This Okiya Omtata is the best thing this country has ever had in terms of legislative and people's representation. A lot of us will not realise it now but posteriority will affirm this.

Imagine how much employment could be generated if we put 3Tn (100 Thika Roads) a year into public sanitation, drainage, waterworks, roads, street lighting, building schools, building hospitals and investing in basic welfare (food, shelter & clothing allowances) - instead of telling your people to go look for work abroad? The country would begin to look resplendent, the people would have the basics for life and the economy would boom like no one's business. It's not hard to fix Kenya, if your intentions are pure. The biggest problem we are having is that those delegated to represent our interests are only representing their own interests and pursuit of power. Democracy REQUIRES an informed and moral public. Kenya has neither.
Willis Otieno has a very good understanding of the budgeting process and he answered the question Jedida was asked very well. The Government prepare a Zero budget ie the budget should be done on a clean slate ie the budget process should be from zero and all budget line items be rationalized; to and ensure corruption is not included in the budgets. Unfortunately Jedida didnt answer that question properly and assumed that the budgets are okay yet we all know that the current budgets include huge amounts of corruption. Thank you Willis Otieno and Okiya Omtatah for clarification and educating us.
The government has to pay the debt that they acquire, it is not the state/ country has to pay for the government, very well explained by Senator Omtata.
