The only place I disagree with Dr Umar is on not calling mixed race children biracial. I am aware that we all come from Eve and Adam. They most likely looked like black people. There's no way to know for sure. However, if we are going off of that line of thought it makes sense to refer to them as biracial since we refer to white people as white. If there has been enough of a deviation in phenotype that we refer to people of the same DNA pool as different races, then we should acknowledge that. If we mix red and blue, we would not call the new color simply red or blue. We gave a color a new name because it is a mixture of the two. It is not to deny either color or to say that the other color is not worthy. It is however, to say that the new color is not just one, it is both. We cannot deny that it is both.

My mom, sister, aunts and grandmother are just as light as Mariah too. But I have always been very attracted to and dated darker skinned women. Now my wife is dark skinned. So it’s no excuse for black men not to see the beauty in dark skinned women.
