I'm a elder from the Yoruba Kingdom ..... This goes against certain ancient kingdom beliefs and traditions. It's very shocking to see how culture has changed because the spirit rest in the blood and we are that blood that's passed on from father to child and if there's any separations the offspring would then inherit another culture that their ancestors have never known and start to become likein to that other culture which stipts the spiritual ancestors out of the blood. I'm not saying that this marriage can't be done but first and foremost they have to get the spiritual ancestors blessings. We Yoruba believe that all our blood is marked by the ancestors spirits and if we go against them be go against the inheritance of the blessings they set forth for us, proud unity is just one.
