Hey guys, sorry for being a little absent these days. I've been having a very stressful year so far, I kind of mentioned it in the video but as I re-watched it, I realized that if I want people to understand, I should explain myself better. I haven't been posting as often as usual because I've been dealing with some health issues within my family. My mom tripped and fell and it would have been hilarious if it wasn't because she got a vertebra fracture. We had to go to three different hospitals just to get her diagnosed correctly and of course, she's been in a lot of pain ever since. It's very hard for her to move and the recovery for that type of injury is very slow. Besides that, my cat Bonjour ate a thread (yes, a random thread that she found in the appartment) and she had to have an emergency surgery. As of today, she's still hospitalized and we don't know when she'll be released. I want to point out how important it is to be aware of what cats eat and take their symptoms seriously, even if they don't seem like a big deal. The thread Bonjour ate got stuck at the end of her stomach and it reached all the way down to the end of her intestine. She deteriorated very quickly, her stomach was super dilated and the surgeon said her intetines had turned blue. She also said it was good that we acted fast because she could have died that day (last tuesday). On top of that, I'm still looking for a place to move and it's been difficult to find one due to how things work here in France and the fact that I'm a (registered) independent worker (freelance). Landlords and agencies here do not like that. I wanted to give a more detailed explanation, not for people to worry or feel bad for me but for everybody to know that there's a reason for my absence and it's not because I'm lazy or that I don't care. This is the reason why it's going to take me longer to get my videos ready but please know that I'm always going to be here, working on the next one haha. Even if you don't see me for A MINUTE, just know that i'm not going anywhere. I'm just filming and editing through this rough patch. Some people are going to tell me to not care so much about RU-vid but the truth is that I enjoy making videos and when I sit down to watch a movie, it takes my mind off of things. It also helps me pay my bills so yeah, I take it seriously and I try to be very responsible about it. Well, thank you for reading this and as usual guys, thank you for being here.

Being a parent is also why he needs to pursue this. Maybe even more than a personal fulfillment. As a parent he feels obligated to try and find the solution that will save his children. If he does nothing then his children will be part of the last generation of humans on the planet. At least that is the angle from which I see it. Great start! Look forward to part 2.
Interstellar is a personal favorite. Please take all the time you need! Family and health comes first for sure and the community will understand whatever breaks you need to take from RU-vid. Hope your mama (and your cat) feel better very soon!

What dust storms you see here….we already had in North America..because of severe drought (no rain)..America went months and sometimes years with crops dying and the dirt turning into blowing dust storms from Kansas to Canada..from about 1929…to the middle of 1938..it was called The Dust Bowl…and it is American history and the people talking on monitors are real survivors..of that..my mother was 10 in Kansas when it started..on a farm in southern Kansas..Leon I believe…
I'm only 10 minutes in but I heard you say that Contact is one of your favorite movies, so you have awesome taste! And yes Interstellar has so much in common with Contact. Strong female scientist lead, Matthew Mcconaughey, careful attention to getting the science right (other than the one concession in each movie that forms the plot), great music, and so on. It's amazing that you connected these so early in the movie before noticing all the other elements.
The point Brand was making about the lion not being evil is because the lion has no sense that what it's doing is wrong. Evil requires the knowledge that what you're doing is wrong or cruel.

You said Area 51..and it is there in Nevada surrounded by fences and security..it’s even on the map..county roads which were built before the facility was built run right up to the fence…not enormous..3-5 acres..in size..some testing on-going…my buddy used to be Air Force…Communications..actually in charge of the White House switch board under 3 Presidents, but when the President left to go anywhere , Gary and his team had to leave 3 days early to set up secure coms..and sometimes atFort Benning, the CQ(charge of quarters) would come tell me I had a call from the White House, but I knew it was just Gary calling , and we have both been retired a long time..obviously Ft Benning is Army..and I was platoon sergeant , US Army rifle team, Batallion Ammo NCO..S-4, and when I was putting in for drill sergeant, I got orders for Korea where I was in recon platoon. As a scout doing patrols in the most forward deployed unit in the armed forces..Camp Greaves..inside the DMZ..so I am not just some civilian Joe..

Great reaction like always, my absolute favorite movie. The score is beautiful and the story is emotionally compelling, Incredible. Amazing. Spectacular. Stupendous. Breathtaking. Excellent. Perfect. These are all synonyms of this masterpiece of cinema. The sentence "because my dad promised me" always makes me cry heavily. Murph is the most important scientist in human history, she has changed the course of the future through scientific knowledge but she says that the very one thing she was certain in life was the love her father had for her, that made her certain of his return. There are some fun facts about this movie. The real TARS isn’t precisely the complex AI machine you saw in the movie; rather, TARS is a giant puppet. Interestingly, lollipop sticks inspired the robot’s design. Behind the 200lbs (90.72kg) robot was Bill Irwin, who voiced the character and controlled its movements. However, he left the more complicated moves for stunt man Mark Fichera, Christopher Nolan wanted that this movie to remain as close to actual science as possible. As a result, he joined forces with the 2017 Nobel Prize for Physics winner, Dr. Kip Thorne, on the project. However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing as Dr. Kip Thorne and Christopher Nolan had disputes, while Nolan wanted to exceed the speed of light, Dr. Thorne stood his ground about staying true to science. Nolan finally came around and agreed to Dr. Thorne’s solution. When I first saw this film, I understood it as the future involving a second Dust Bowl. I also cringed harder than I ever had from a film when the teacher said that the Moon Landings were faked and basically teaching conspiracy theories as history.
It's funny they want more farmers against starvation vs scientists. Meanwhile the largest jump in food production recently occured due to the invention of artificial fertilizer. Hope all goes well for you, family and pets always come first after all.
I still say this movie is uneven. The loss of Doyle is brushed off too quickly, other personal issues are over emphasized while the big picture is somehow left wandering aimlessly. Stupendous concept, poor execution.
