@@cloroxbleach9222 what youre imagining is a spaceship floating in outer space like a car on a motorway... the intelligence and qualifications required for space travel is far beyond what you're considering. Interstellar is an amazing movie but reality works differently. For example a wormhole (which btw is only theoretical) bends the space time continuum in such a manner that any human or spacecraft to go inside one would be ripped apart and would never come out in one piece. Your fairytale about how anyone can be qualified for space travel is not real.

I doubt many will read this, but this song inspired me to write this. Time is one of those strange things in life. It is constant. Always passing by you. An invisible force that in our world we can't see. Maybe one day we will be able to traverse time, like we can our other dimensions. Until then, live in the moment. Enjoy your moments you have with friends, family, strangers. Enjoy the seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years, decades, and your life. Try and impact as many people as you can. Interact with everyone. You never know whether that person walking on the other side of the street will be your best friend or not. Live and cherish every part of time, for one day, our time will be up, and nothing will be left of us but the feint memory of us that lives in those we have touched.

Don't wait for the future to come. Forge it yourself. Don't just dream of the cosmos. Search for it. You may be too late to experience a 'grand' past you've heard so much about, you may even be too early for the 'grander' future, but what's in between matters *every bit as much*, and if you think that what you do doesn't matter, that you're too small to do anything of importance...tell that to the billions of bright souls gleaming in your history and your present and your future, like the stars of your vast skies. Set course for that horizon. Question the universe. Live! You won't get this opportunity again, I can promise you that.

@Elijah Ken It is obvious what the message of film is, I have seen the film 5 times. The truth to the story in the film is what it is , but it's not a belief I have that humans will get to creating that future entirely on their own. I NEVER take films at face value only. The best and most thought mongering film ever made it just baffled everyone who has seen it and understands it, I doubt there will be any better film ever made after this and it just questions what we think of time and space whether it's a force or physical object we just don't know, and that movie plus this soundtrack just keeps us wondering what's actually out there... Whether even if you past our galaxy you might fall into a time loop that traps you in time we just don't fucking know and it makes me sad that I won't be alive to be able to see what the truth actually is. Just a depressing movie and makes you curious at the same time. Hans down the best film ever made and ever will be made that questions real life.

This music is a solid representation of of the english word wonder. Humanity has always been stuck between our animal instinctive behavior and our conscious thought. Our mind is something that we use on a daily basis, and yet we barely understand the machinations of it. It is the creator of our reality, perception, and experience with the world. It causes us our most anguish and brings us the most joy. You can only WONDER if the mystery of the brain can ever be explained by other brains. I really don't know, and maybe i'm rambling, but perhaps if you're reading this, maybe we are one in the same? identical in every way, just experiencing the world in different places. Time will tell...or maybe time is the tell.

That'd be a singular philosophical view point. I'd argue it's a rather silly one. The idea that the brain creates reality, rather than the brain observers it. Under the same framework, Columbus didn't discover America. He created it. Einstein didn't discover relativity. He created it. Newton didn't discover gravity, he created it. IMO our brains don't create reality, they observe it. It's quite incredible, really, in that depending on your philosophical outlook, you can see observe the same things differently. You can look at a nuclear bomb and say "What an amazing tool that saves millions of lives" and "What a horrible device that kills millions of people". Both can be valid, under different outlooks. They can even be valid under the same outlook.
@garyelliott6293
@garyelliott6293 9 лет назад
mathig nihilcek I think what was meant was that reality to one person may or may not be different to another person. "The brain creates reality," or to put it a better way, the brain interprets reality for each individual person. Separating "reality" and "perception" throws you off his meaning. You pointed it out in your examples: "Columbus didn't discover America." To the rest of the world and "European narcissism" he did discover America. To the peoples already on the North American continent, did Columbus "Discover" America? For that matter, it wasn't even America...."Einstein didn't discover relativity. He created it." In simple terms, Einstein did not, in fact, "discover" relativity. He documented what was already there after studying it. He developed an equation to explain relativity. It was always there, just never explained. Same with Newton and gravity. To truly "Discover"something, you must be the first to encounter/experience it. Gravity and relativity were always there and experienced by everyone and everything alive. It was just never explained.
@garyelliott6293
@garyelliott6293 9 лет назад
The brain is the most complex computer in the world. One day we will unlock its full potential. No one really knows what the full capabilities are. In order to do that one must resist the temptation to become complacent. With the right motivation and continuous advances, what is science fiction to us today can become reality tomorrow. History has proven that point over and over. Never stop reaching.

I put this song on just now to go to sleep, and it triggered my brain to think deeply about life, feeling more, laughing more, and letting go of what is holding me back. This song brings me closer to my dreams, knowing that there’s nothing I’ll ever fully understand. This music makes me feel small but not significant. It Reduces problems and gives me one direction: be. This song is my reminder to simply be....

There is something about this track, something distinctly different from the other tracks in the Interstellar OST. Aside from peace and serenity, it makes me really think about what life really is. We are humans in the vastly expending universe, but for what purpose? Are we the only planet that has life like us? Why can’t we understand more dimensions? So many questions but I think they’re not meant to be answered. I wish I am able to be immortal so I can see the progress of humanity and what we have learned about our place in the universe, or rather just reality. It’s 2AM, now my mind is racing. Thanks Hans Zimmer...
@davidzhao6219
@davidzhao6219 6 лет назад
One thing about human is we never learn mistakes from our history. We are not the only planet that has life. There are countless civilizations in the universe. It's just we can't find them. Two civilization coming cross each other means complete destruction of the weaker civilization just like how the Europeans encountered Indian when they first landed on Amerian continent. Our meaning of life is trivial and is nothing. We are only here to contribute to the two purposes of our species which are to survive and to expand. It's funny we thought we are so unique and so superior to other species when we are probably one of the worst species in the universe. We foolishly think that we are the only intelligent species in the universe, and when we can't travel interstellar, there are no other species can since we are the supreme civilization. Thinking we are the only intelligent life form in the whole universe is like to think we are the center of the universe. Because of our surrounding species are not as intelligent does not mean we are the supreme one.In contrast to our arrogance, we are like bugs when we are compared with other god civilizations in the universe. Hence, our meaning of life is extremely trivial to the universe just like the existence ants are trivial to the Earth. Even the meaning of our civilization probably doesn't matter as well since there are so many godlike civilizations existing. What we should do is to think how can we contribute and improve our civilization instead of thinking the meaning of life!

2023 and I come back to hear this. First I'd listen to this simply because it was a beautiful soundtrack, then this sound became an ode to missing my father, then it became my only safe space in a really unhealthy relationship. Now it's 2023 and I'm sitting here at my work place where I finally get to be independent. For the first time in my life my single parent mother, doesn't have to pay my bills. I am receiving all my blessings, I am allowing myself to feel all emotions, uncomfortable and comfortable. As soon as I feel a negative emotion I say "I give myself permission to feel this" I automatically ease out of it, give yourself permission. When something good happens I immediately thank the highest power, the universe, whatever you believe in. We have a palette of emotions. We must understand ourselves, we must be patient. Time is divine, allow yourself to be open and watch molecules open up in your body that were just waiting for you to activate them, to allow them to flow as they would because your body is their home, they know you, trust your intuition, you are divine, you are a powerful manifesting vessel.

This piece is SO emotional. I have no idea how Hans Zimmer put so much emotion into this. Every time I listen to it, I always think of my own relationship with my dad and how he has shaped my life. Ive cried pretty hard listening to this and it will always have a special place in my heart. Without a doubt Interstellar is my favorite movie of all time and its sound track is also my favorite of all time. It never grows old. Never.

Growing up my mom always put the dishes upside down. I asked her why, she said because her mom did it (her mom died 20 yrs ago). Family mystery for decades, then I saw Interstellar. Grandma lived through the dust bowl in Nebraska in the 20’s. Mystery solved.

This movie is my favorite movie of all time. The entire thing leaves you thinking, and makes you want to know more about the universe. I don't think it got the recognition it deserves, because simple minded critics didn't understand it and didn't care enough to try. The entire movie is a paradox, and Nolan sets it up perfectly. There was so much work put into this film and its sad to see that it didn't receive the applause that it should've, because it was to complex for the majority of people.

sometimes i think why we spend so much time doing nothing and spend our lifes just to get a house, a job, money, when there is an entirely huge world out there. Even in our planet, there is so much thing to see, to see how beautiful the world is, what is life, what is earth. Imagine, we spend almost all our life just to act like goats in a herd, called city, while we are capable of such great things. Think about ceasar, napoleon, colombus, like these man did such great things, they changed history, they discovered the unknown, and we just sit in our chair today in a office and start to do a useless job. We only have one life, so why we use it this way? When i die, i want to die happy about all the things i did, everything i saw. We got a whole universe to explore, a whole world. Imagine what is out there, what things that are in such a huge place, and i say it again, a HUGE place. Space is such a beautiful thing. If i could, i would give all the money, all the shit i buyed, my car, my PC, my tv, my job, to explore the space. Because whe wil be someday at the end of our life, regreting that we didn't did nothing. Sometimes i think, what new type of life is out there, because our definition of life is related to our planet. Someday the human being will not be on this planet, and i will think, what we did to save our name. What the next kind of beings will think about us when our cycle in this planet ends. They probably will remain of us like we remain the dinossaurs. We can't waste our time remaining on this planet. It won't last long and ever worse, we can't spend our time we got of life. We are made to do big things, huge things, that is why we have a brain, but instead, we waste our life in this shitty system of study, work, and die. We only have 1 life, as i already said. Always when i go to sleep i think of what we can do and what will humanity do. Just look from what we come from. We where hunters, and now we are just nothing. Our life isn't nothing compared to what modern society thinks. Think about egypt, rome, china, greece, japan. Such great civilizations, and when you look at it, it looks so impossible to be done, so hard, but if you look closely, they where built by real people, individual people, that changed history. My point is that we are capable of doing such big things and we got a clock over our heads. When we least see it, this clock ends, and it happens when we least waist. When i die, i hope the kids of my son will remember me, and the kids of the kids of my son still read about me in school. I dont want to waste the single life that nature gave to me, god knows why. If we are given this life, is to do big things. Sorry if my comment is big, but i want to change the way that you that reads me thinks of spending the rest of our life. My grandpa, when was in his deathbed, said that i should live without regrets, and without fear. He said he regreted about not doing nothing in his life, and that when he was young, he thinked that he was immortal.

If you are watching this at night, get up pull back the curtains and stare into the strange, black, deadly, beautiful abyss known as space and realise our existance is tiny, as you see the stars and realise each one is the size of our sun. Then you realize in the distance there is other galaxies, maybe even other universes which we can only fantasize about visiting and discovering awaits us. Space is the final frontier and we may never fully understand or conquer the blackness but we will keep trying until the end........ 🔆 🌏

+Τρεληαγελαδα. Humanity feels like its the strongest most intelligent species ever created. No. Think about the worlds beyond our galaxy. Our history. Our knowlege. We are just a tiny piece in something big. Something we will never understand. We will never learn. Think about all the other historys, species, Plants and even worlds we will never see. But still, im happy about that. We humans only destroy. We only accept our own Science. We fight in wars. We would also destroy those worlds.
@Barbados190
@Barbados190 9 лет назад
+acethunder007 actually our sun is very VERY VERY average in size. It is low in mass, meaning it fuses its hydrogen at a very slow rate. It is a star that is at the low end of the HR diagram due to its low mass and brightness/temperature. It is half way through its life, meaning it is very stable and not out of hydrogen yet. It was born 5 billion years ago, 5 more to go
