As a Pakistani, I disagree with Scott Ritter's assessment that if Israel decides to use nuclear weapons against Lebanon, Pakistan will respond with a nuclear strike of its own. We would never do that, even under such a circumstance. I believe Pakistan is essentially waiting to see how the Arab world will respond to Israel. If the Arab world (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Turkey) decides to take up arms against Israel, Pakistan will get involved and play a secondary role. However, make no mistake: if there is a nuclear strike anywhere near Mecca and Medina, there will be a nuclear response. If the Samson Option includes nuclear targets near Mecca and Medina, then yes, there will be a very strong nuclear response from Pakistan.
