Two epic greats bands and musics create this beauty historical and brutal song,2024 open really good,Up the Amon and Saxons and Long live the Metal Kings.
Very cool song, my Family has a Saxon back Ground , my Mother was a Saxon Pat Stanbridge , My great Grandfather was Marshall Stanbridge also he had a son Named Thomas Stanbridge who was my mothers Father my Mother married Robert G Heller who was my father , Marshall Stanbridge was in the First war at Vimy Ridge France that battle was a total blood bath, My Saxon family also built a Church in England the Church and Stanbridge manor still stands to this day, my Great Grandfather chose to live in BC Canada after the WAR , his Son Joined the Royal Navy in Canada ,and became a captain on a couple tug boats for the navy . I am very impressed bye the band Saxon .
As an old metal head from the 70s I must be getting foggy brained. How in the world did I not know about Amon Amarth until last year? Being a huge Ghost fan, was very excited to have tickets to see them in Virginia last summer. Decided it be a good idea to check out this freaking Viking band that was opening , so started playing their you Tube videos. Never a screamo fan, but became converted. Vocals perfect for the metal curtain they lay down. Amon Amarth live was incredible. I give Ghost credit for having such a band open for them . Reminds me of seeing Kiss open for Black Sabbath in 1975 in Baltimore. Of course Black Sabbath, after a couple shows, did not let them open for them anymore.
I discovered Amon Amarth through ghost too! I decided to do the same thing and I looked into them to get an idea of the band opening for ghost and that led me down the rabbit hole of their music. I saw ghost and Amon Amarth in September and it was the greatest concert that I had experienced yet. I was in the pit up against the barricade, it was so damn cool.
Its a kickass song, a kickass concept, kickass video. In my opinion one of your best songs, and supercool that Saxon could be a cruical part of it. Great work from everyone involved. See if you can do more of these cooperations with other bands, its awesome.

Wow, firstly I really enjoyed the interview, but what really stood out for me was how much Biff's manner of speaking (his cadance and choice of words etc) reminded me of Lemmy. And as someone who's inspiration in life is Lem, I was a little bit taken a back. I mean i shouldn't have been, it's not like it's the first time I have heard him speak, but idk, made me miss him all over again. Also great song guys!
Epic collaboration! Two great bands, that both love their respective history! *The Saxons won the battle under the leadership of Alfred, BUT they came to a compromise, and split England in two, the Saxons taking south of the Thames, to the borders of Cornwall, into Mercia bordering Wales, and the Danes took North of the Thames the whole East Coast of England, Northumberland, to the Cumbrian and Scottish Borders, creating the 'Danelaw' under 'Viking ' rule.
well if its any comfort to amon amarth the saxons did come from denmark originally if i remember right haha :D i feel like this song will be a song that people remember for years to come
