As a supporter since 1955 (yes I am old!) I feel this is a marvellous opportunity for the club to, at least, return to championship standard. The last three years have been painful (and even before that the football served up was sterile). I was on the terrace when Ray Crawford scored 2 goals to give us the old Division 1 championship and those goals are etched in my memory. Then there was the wait to find out the result between Chelsea and Burnley. Burnley had to win, but could only draw. What a celebration! Let's have some more glory days. You just can't beat them. Although things did not work out for him I still want to thank Marcus Evans for keeping this club afloat financially and I wish him all the best.
I am 47 even during our bad years which came and went the fans still enjoyed good football didnt mind spending money and never booed the team that changed in last few seasons it might be the new generation of fans who expect more but Ipswich need that family fan thing back again ARE YOU NORTH STAND LIKE ME👍👍🚜🚜🚜🚜

Oh how nice it is to see a face to itfc. Think this is the start of a fantastic period of the club. Been supporting the club since age 8 (1985). So I've seen the lyall and burley years. Before Marcus taken over the club was rock bottom after a fantastic time. So for Marcus thank you for keeping this club going. Lots of decisions that the fans will never understand, but today is a new day. We as fans need patience. Whatever our history, we are here because we deserve to be here. Lots of changes. Tidy the stadium and make us proud again. If you give us this, we will put up with bud lite.

A very polished performance. 14 months of negotiations just shows how careful this process has been and certainly a Championship place next year looks very possible. Wonder if performance on the pitch change at all this season. Likely not
I will give Marcus some credit for the professional way he handled the sale ,but I am afraid that is as far as the plaudits go. He lost interest years ago and all enthusiasm vanished ,therefore he eventually gave up on the club .His disinterest in the fan base and lack of communication from his ivory tower did nothing to heal the rift with some fans .I hope these guys can at least stabilise the club and bring some hope for the future ,because my god the fans need it.
He wasn’t wealthy enough, he kept us stable and paid off a lot of debt which was more ideal than a lot of owners who put clubs into administration with poor overestimated investments. He’s handled this not well but better than a lot of fans give him credit for, keeping us in a stable position whilst waiting for a new ownership which will make sure we make progress
He didn't believe in the future of Ipswich. By now he should of taken us up to the premier league, if not at least keep us in the championship. It's obvious he lost passion, because he wasn't pumping enough money in to build a stronger team . At this point it's a waste of time. So selling to fresh enthusiastic owners is completely the right thing to do . Let's hope these guys will pump in some cash to the team
