Dr. Thomas M. Cucuzza is the founder and Senior Pastor of Northland Bible Baptist Church. On August 2, 1972, he realized for the first time in his life that he could not work his way to Heaven. He recognized his need for salvation, and trusted in Jesus Christ alone as his Savior.

My family comes from a Catholic background and the only thing we can do is tell them the truth in LOVE... What I mean is you can't push them to believe if their heart is not ready to receive JESUS... I tell my family all the time but ultimately Jesus is the saviour not us. All we can do is pray that the Lord Jesus soften their hearts to receive the Truth of the Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. It is the Gospel that God chose to open blind eyes 2 Cor 4:3-4 and save their souls for eternity Eph 1:13-14, 2 thess 2:13-14... So ultimately all you have to do is make the Gospel plain and simple for them to understand and God will do the rest when they have placed their faith in Jesus Christ blood atoning sacrifice --> How Jesus Death / Burial / Resurrection 3rd day Paid for our sins... If and when they believe and receive what Jesus Christ did in their place as full payment for their sins made once and for all then they are saved... It is finished and proof God the Father accepted Jesus Christ blood sacrifice for our sins is Jesus resurrection! Paul says in 1 Cor 15 if there be no resurrection that our preaching is in vain but since Jesus resurrection is 100% FACT / Biblical & Historical it is what we preach and proclaim to the lost. It's like planting seeds. The Gospel is the seed that will grow when they believe.

Hey there, I feel you. Jesse did a few podcasts on Catholicism. It’s the “Real Talk” podcast on Spotify, Apple, Google, etc… I forget which one, but I can try to dig it up. Only 15 episodes. My experience with Catholics (Trent here) is to just keep trying to explain the gospel clearly. Catholics are definitely works based on the front end, so “not of works” verses are key. I would add that much prayer and love tied alongside the scriptures is also a big piece of the pie. I had a buddy stuck in Judaism that trusted in Christ, and it wasn’t that I convinced him of any prophecies. It was because he realized what Jesus did is actually GOOD news! Works aren’t good news… Idk how much this will help, but I encourage you to keep at it. - Trent

It seems to me that there are still a few remnant local churches left in America that have the gospel right and teach God's Word straight and correct. I like what you said about not going to a church that has the gospel messed up and teaches false doctrines because there are many that just use Hebrews 10:25 to press people into "a" church no matter how good or bad it is. Yet when I look at how the body of Christ is growing in especially the hard pressed, oppressed and persecuted countries such as Iran, Iraq, China and so forth, it shows me that Acts 10:34 really stands out in many ways. I myself was tormented most of my life by so-called Christians which nearly cost me my life several times. But God kept me alive to hear the gospel message and mercifully bless me with at least a fair chance at deciding on my eternal life. And I believed in my Lord Jesus Christ, His Son, and received. Blessed be His Holy Name! However, my greatest mistake before that was to compare the "Christians" with God. Of course, then, I had no clue, but it was that and my own sin hanging heavy over me which kept me away from my Lord Jesus. That huge mistake led me into the world and everything I could find. I always believed in God and would quarrel with Him about why He be punishing me, yet little did I know that it was my own sin that kept me broken and crushed. And so I overturned every stone in this world, every single one, only to find that this world and everything of it or in it, is a big stinking lie of the devil. And so I asked God to either end my life as my Christian family had tried many times to do so, or give me a reason to live. In the end I was so lost that I bet with God that He couldn't show me love. Well, I lost that bet. God showed me the greatest love there is in His Son, my Lord Jesus Christ. Out of nowhere a sermon popped up on youtube that had the gospel message and I also heard Luke 4:18 and I realized the Lord Jesus Christ, God, is merciful and loving, kind and takes care of the weak and broken hearted, the orphans and the despised and lowly of this fallen world. I have believed, received and not looked back since. So, it is in my eyes essential, that the gospel message is taught correctly because God in His Word says so and the searching soul needs (to hear) it desperately. Sound doctrine, as well, is essential for growth, comfort and reassurance of God's grace, love, righteousness, kindness, mercy, perfection and Holiness. Without sound doctrine we won't have peace and scatter. And God wants a personal relationship with each and every one of us. So that's why I agree with staying away from false doctrine and false gospel churches completely, they will just really mess you up. And even though I am lonely to the point of insanity at times for the culture and country I live in are also very cold, unwelcoming and not interested to speak at all to foreigners like me. Yet, still, God is good. He has equipped my hungry soul abundantly without a local church to go to and has led me to lead a small bible study of 2-5 people. People who suffer from false doctrine trauma are amazed and set free when they hear the gospel message correctly as well as sound doctrine. It is still a spiritual battle, but knowing for who it is for, my Lord Jesus, it is all worth it. It saddens me to see so many people still living in bondage. Yet, as Thomas Cucuzza said, some also like the carnal life. Still, the Perfect and Holy Word of God cuts through it all at ease. God bless you all, much love to you from the "Laodicea" of Europe.

Very interesting interview that shows how God will provide for a Pastor who preaches the true gospel. Amazing how a saved ex-Catholic can often detect the deception of Calvinism at the drop of a hat! Jesse did a great job interviewing here as well. Very encouraging!

@5:53 Pastor Tom Cucuzza "When I trusted Christ as my Savior it was like a piano was taken off my back and I didn't even know I was carrying it" Soteriology 101(2) Well I openly admitted and keep on admitting to God that none of my works can save me. Good works or evil works when trusted in cannot save my soul and only will result in more condemnation. I understand it OK. Jesus Christ went to the cross and paid for all my sins and is risen from the dead. I believe this. Yes I get it. God cannot lie. Yes I get this. OK? I keep on admitting to God in my heart these truths and even openly admit it on the internet here. OK? I knew I was lost at the age of 23. At that time I did not know how to be saved. I pretty much learned these truths and affirmed them under the ministry of Pastor Allen Richard Knapp of Tetelestai Church. It took me about 5 years after I knew I was lost to GET IT. Strangely enough after teaching them for about 40 years Pastor Knapp strangely apostatized from these beliefs, eventually teaching a Trinitarian Universalism to every one in his assembly. It was at this point I left his assembly NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN. It was very strange that MOST OF THEM in his assembly FOLLOWED HIM SEAMLESSLY. Therefore my question is this: "WHEN THEN IS MY PIANO GONNA GET RIPPED OFF MY BACK?" I do not want to bear my own sins. I fully affirm that Jesus Christ bore them as God in the flesh and rose from the dead. Why then are my sins still weighting me down in spite of my having believed and affirming these truths?

P.S. Pastors, I do love your clear teaching on the gospel❤. I am not trying to be rude at all on my prior comment however if we get all our practices from the KJV then why have a college like the world? I'm sure it's too late now. God will use it for good but the Holy Ghost is our teacher and also preachers are like our father's in Christ, like Paul was to some young men in the faith. Would Paul have signed up Mark and Timothy for a man made college or did he take them under his wing??
@BibleLine
@BibleLine 4 месяца назад
Thank you. No, the comment was fine. Ultimately, college or no college, the word of God is clear. Yes, a Paul to Timothy situation is best, and that’s actually how my personal experience in the Bible college was (Trent here). The men were very concerned with discipling and teaching according to the Word. - Trent

59:00 I can read it to you, but I cannot understand for you and I cannot belive it for you. Oh how true this is. 1:01:10 when it's the final authority, that means you had an authority reference before the Bible. So exactly, it's the ONLY authority. How I've learned this to ring true.

I believe on Jesus Christ and know I am saved . However , I am confused by the apparent differences between James Chapter 2 , verses 20 to 26 and Ephesians Chapter 2 , verses 8 and 9 . Does anyone have the breakdown on this ?

Bible College is of the world. It's better being connected to the local church or learned from the local church. The only person in the KJV who went to a Bible College was a girl. The disciples learned from Christ. 2 Kings 22:14 So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went unto Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communed with her. 2 Chronicles 34:22 And Hilkiah, and they that the king had appointed, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvath, the son of Hasrah, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college:) and they spake to her to that effect.

Pastor Tom, I understand not to go back to my vomit as a dog. But what are we to do when everytime we find a new Grace preacher they turned out to not be grace? Is it true that Ralph Yankee Arnold teaches that a saved Christian could be in outer Darkness for a thousand years? If so, then you are endorsing an incorrect Gospel. I'm tired of being a beaten sheep.
@BibleLine
@BibleLine 11 месяцев назад
No, Yankee does not teach that. Once a saved man dies or is raptured, then he is with the Lord forever. There is no separation. There will be plenty of tears, regret and sorrow at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Nevertheless, we will rule and reign with him thereafter. The Kingdom parables need be closely examined and not ripped from context. - Trent
