Info regarding the neckpiece:
Have you ever tried fitting a finger under the neckpiece of your bridle after having tightened it? You almost can’t fit a finger under there, can you??
When purchasing a FinesseBridle you aren’t investing in a regular piece of equipment, you are investing in comfort. These bridles are created with a specialised neckpiece, designed to distribute and reduce the regional pressure on your horse’s neck from the neckpiece.
Engineers and other experts are behind this unique design that originates from the technology applied in hospital matrasses used for bedbound patients. It is not memory-foam, but a uniquely designed fibre-material that allows the blood-flow to remain intact in the parts of the body in contact with the material.
The Finesse behind the name:
A study performed by Stud.med.vet Katja Gabara and Emilie Gertz and Dr. Andrian Harrison, carried out on 12 Icelandic horses, proved that all horses with no exception showed much more free movement in the entire body wearing FinesseBridles as opposed to wearing a standard bridle.
The importance of this is, that while working wearing a FinessBridle, your horse will not experience the same amount of so called ‘pain-strikes’ (pain-strike defined as muscle overload during work).
In the study, not only the muscles related to the neckpiece were studied, but also the myofascial lines known to have effect on the overall movement of the horse, from the base of the skull to the hindlimbs. These being m. Splenius and m. Brachiocephalicus.
Later this year The Faculty of Health and Medical Scinces will publish a study containing more details on the above.
Danish professional dressage rider Cathrine Dufour has during the past 2 years, tested different bridle models on a number of horses and we now have all the finesses in place. Now we are ready to offer this uniquely designed bridle to your horse!
Many of the details you find on the bridles, have been developed in cooperation with Cathrine Dufour, who is known to never compromise regarding how equipment impacts her horses or the quality of the gear!
Its not about the level more about doing the best for your horses!
