I used to work from 8.30am to 9 in the evening and was underpaid. No overtime was given. I would never signup for such a job again... 😵‍💫 Before resigning I talked to the management constantly as a result of which more people got hired and work was balanced. As an HR professional, I would strongly recommend not to blindly say yes to such questions. It is okay to be curious about these things, it's human nature. Saying yes without question may sound like you are agreeing just to get the job. Also, when you simply say yes, and decline to adhere to it later, the company can use it against you as an ammunition during tough times.

Its so sad that the reality of multi national companies especially in India ask their employees to do over time and pay almost nothing for that. And you have to be liar and dishonest to crack the interview to get hired despite you are not comfortable with the over time and shift extension.
