Every time I wonder why HR asks such useless questions to everyone, even though HR itself is not going to last in the same company. Secondly, they know the candidate is lying and just giving "masala" answers to get the job. I don't think such kind of questions make any sense in an interview.
This age old process and the same questions just highlight the elevated incompetency and herd mentality of just doing the bare minimum. Yes, applies to HRs also😅
It's not so useless, It's time consuming to run interviews and it's a hassle to keep training new staff, so they want to see if you are going to stay or if theyll have to do another interview in 4 months. They also want to know if you have any commercial awareness of their company and industry We might think this is basic, but if someone answers better than most, starts talking about blog posts and business news and latest projects they did, something their CEO posted, something on the company Instagram, everybody else who gave generic answers will be forgotten. I also think they keep it the same because if we can't answer properly, it also shows we didn't even research the basic "how to answer interview questions" on Google😅 and yet want a professional job that is critical to the team that's hiring you.
I really appreciated your tips for answering this question. I recently had an interview and this was the first question asked. However, at the time I felt that that should not be used as an entry question, I felt that the interviewer was trying to tell me I don't see you working here why do you think you can fit in here? I felt offended and threw me off for the rest of the interview. In my humble opinion, this should not be a first question. Its always good to use ice braker questions since many persons attending an interview may be experiencing some tension or anxiety and HR should encourage persons to be calm and build on this as the interview progresses.

Every company has different projects and different missions. Don't say for the mission of the company, just say how passionate you are and how it supports their mission. You can be passionate with one thing and you cannot change for each company, but your passion should make a difference for them. I alway work for R&D and company ask for QC because they have an opening there, you cannot support there mission for sure. You passion is more important than there mission. I said no to them but they came back to me when they had openning in R&D.
Mam I just want to ask you one thing how many interviews have u cracked by saying these templated answers ,This video was not a problem but a lot of your videos like the one about asking how r u will get u rejected are just plainly bad Do not take this as a hate comment and genuinely answer how many interviews you have cracked using these techniques.
In indian job market u will expelled in hr interview only if your notice period is more than they expected you to join them and your expected ctc is more than their budget.. otherwise you will get the offer.. now a days no hr people will ask this kind of stupid questions to get a fabricated answer from experienced candidates.. not sure about freshers

Matlab HR ko v pata hai ki candidate kyon join karna chahte hai, lekin firbi hr ushe select nahi karega jo genuine answer dega usko karega jo genuinely jhut bolega 😂 that's the fucking corporate culture 😂
HR itself is a useless job in this world, they dont bring any value or revenues, its time to stop this job and keep a simple software for on-boarding new joiners
