If find the leakage of H2s,wear required PpE and check the wind direction,give information regarding leakage wind direction and spot to the Shift engineer and DCS operator
A fire in the sulfur pit will be detected by a sharp rise in the pit vent temperature. SO2 concentration in the sulfur pit will increase. Once high high (HH) temperature or HH SO2 activate, pit will be isolated by stopping the educators and by closing the educator vents to atmosphere and the incinerator sweep gas flow. Immediately open manual snuffing steam valve to the pit to extinguish the fire. A brown plume venting from the stack indicates a continuing fire. Maintain sulfur sump temperature below 160 0C. Above this temperature sulfur is highly viscous and pump cannot able to develop pressure
Hi Deep Its really good informative explanation about pit temperature. If you are selling liquid sulfur to other company and no intention to use inside the plant u can maintain the temperature such that it doesn't solidify. If your company utilizes the liquid sulfur in internal plant consumption then u need to maintain such temperature to have good combustion in making sulfuric acid
@@karthicklingadurai5021 It depends on the capacity of the plant Smaller plant One plant can be taken care by one operator If bigger plant means bigger man power requirements And also it depends on what your company work they are making granulation or selling liquid sulfur or consuming for associated plant

If h2s realized your h2s gas detector beeps just move away from place seeing the wind direction Once your h2s detector is beeping means u r away from h2s hazards Then inform control room about leak to stop the process then gas neutralize has to be taken place and decontamination to be done hazamat team H2s is denser so mostly it remains at ground level.
