This is one of those comments you think sounds nice, maybe you even believe it, I doubt it, but maybe you do.... Either way, this guy is a freaking nutcase, period.... I'll agree with some of his "social" points though lol, they aren't "genius", just obvious....
Imperial was a model of Chrysler car, Impala's a Chevrolet.. Cougar was a Mercury.. he's clearly nuts, but she is missing some real-world things that he references
What I'm curious about is whether what he's saying makes sense to him? Like, he's sort of making it up as he goes along but I wonder if *he* realizes that it doesn't make sense.
That's called delusion. Something can make sense to him and can even articulate ideas, but the problem is, this is what happens when your reality is distorted by imagination. Nothing is more convincing than a sight.
Someone I knew took a bunch of acid and become convinced that all of his friends were gay, one after the other. I justed laughed it off thinking that he he couldn't be serious, but before not too long he became hostile and agressive against me as well and was convinced that I was gay too
I do not know the history of these videos, and so I ask and do not assume. I've watched two of these now and these men seem like actors. They are both perfectly articulate--use no fillers in the slightest, know what to say exactly as if scripted after each question in order to provide a provocative and shocking responses, and the display of emotion seems like acting. Their elite articulation, even in the slightest, does not show a frenzied mind that struggles with reality and the ability to articulate it. I may be totally wrong. The setting also looks like a television studio set.
I could see why you would say that, and I was staying skeptical about the video as well. However, my father acted exactly like this man and he was a diagnosed schizophrenic. As for the well articulated part of him, I believe it was just the 80s lol.
I do wonder if people with this condition ever realise how out there they sound. They must have moments of clarity where they realise that before the illness takes them again ?. If anyone reading this has experienced this condition themselves I would be interested to know.
He is articulate. Therefore probably very intelligent. But his delusions make me feel bad for him. You'll notice that throughout the interview there are instances where he starts to admit his instability and this is why he is paranoid. Delusions are the core of paranoia. Anxiety always blocks your ability to understand properly. Paranoia is even worse.
I don't know how these therapists don't laugh at some of the stuff the patients say...mental illness is NOT funny but come on some stuff they say is hilarious..I was in therapy via phone because of covid and I KNOW my therapist wanted to laugh on the other end
Sir, please get into the back of the van with Funny Farm marked on the side. Yes, next to the man wearing the white coat holding the butterfly net and holding up two fingers.
5:38 "I see it all around me see that's my problem.. idk which way to turn you know what I mean..... I see it here... then looks at her." And he's right... she's being judgemental and manipulative to him and he knows that. He is superior to her intelligence... he would absolutely toy with her mind if he wanted to
How on earth do you think she's being judgmental or manipulative towards him? She's just asking simple questions to try to get an idea of how long he's been having psychotic symptoms, what kinds of psychotic delusions he has, and what brought him to the hospital.
I always say "You're intelligent, not because you know. But because you make sense of what you're seeing/saying.". And the last thing a therapist will do is judge. In fact therapists try to avoid calling out your conditions unlike psychiatrists.
I watched this through very carefully 3 times. I know his presentation skills may not be what most people are accustomed to. but what exactly was it that he said that makes people suspect he's got a mental health problem ? the way I see it is he's an observant and intelligent young man that has made astute observations that others may have difficulty picking up on.
Well first off, I don’t think that many people really desire to have sex with this guy 😂. Secondly, listen to how he talks about everyone he tries to talk to flashing this signal at him. He literally thinks everyone he sees is in on it.
Most schizophrenic are articulate, and intelligent. One of the aspects of the disease is the smarter you are the more reliably you can explain these occurrences to yourself...causing still further beleif in these hallucinations both auditory and visual. What do you do when you can't trust your own sense of reality?
He speaks with confidence and clarity but what he is saying has no meaning, it’s shocking you’ve listened to this three times and didn’t realize this poor man is speaking gibberish
@@Harrison1875 he was 18 at the time of this interview. Ironically this event occurred during the era when being homosexual or lesbian was very taboo and in fact there were particular signs and unspoken codes or hand gestures that were being used at this time to indicate whether one was gay and interested in the opposite sex. Some years ago something very similar occurred in a men’s bathroom where a public figure went into a stall and let his hand down to gesture at the person next to him whether he wanted to engage in sexual activity. He incidentally was reported and arrested for his actions. This really happened. There also had been reports of truckers having sexual encounters in the woods. They would pull over in the middle of nowhere with the pretense of stretching and relaxing then go into a deserted secluded wooded area and engage in oral sex with other men which I find utterly disgusting. However such things did happen.
😮😮😮 his mother and the boyfriend incest in the family ...perverted uncle ...this poor boy was abused when he was a child and this is his coping mechanism i think poor kid
