[An off-topic comment] . . . . Leaks about the Rings of Power series that the Fellowship of Fans channel released in its private group. "It looks like Elrond and Adar will have important moments in the story. According to the June AMA: Adar x Elrond: they indirectly clashed, both are sort of leading armies against each other under other commands. This happens after Galadriel is captured, for very "personal" reasons. I'm not sure Celebrimbor can lead anyone... Of course in the program Eregion is under the control of Gil-Galad, so I assume there are other military leaders. Elrond is supposed to lead the army in Gil-Galad's name, but since the king will be in battle and giving a speech, I think Elrond would be in command of a portion of the entire army led by him. Elrond might be ordered to do something (defend the city or something). The character Mirdania could be a commander, if we think about the actress's experience in martial arts, and perhaps related to Eregion. Also, I can't see this version of Celebrimbor in battle. Can I see him trying to defend treasures and stuff, without actually hiding, but with proper action scenes in battle? I don't know... I believe in the fight scenes with Elrond, Gil-Galad, Galadriel x Adar and the Siege of Eregion and directly Celebrimbor x Sauron." 1) Question: *_Will we learn anything about the origins of Elrond, Celebrimbor or Gil-Galad, i.e. their family or events they have experienced in the past?_* - FOF isn't sure about the other two, but it looks like there will be some references to Fëanor. Celebrimbor referenced him in S1 and also has his hammer. - It's more of a personal opinion, but Strider thinks we'll get more backstory and learn more about Elrond. But FOF can only confirm Fëanor's references in S2. 2) Question: *_Any news about Waldreg? Will he make it to the Eregion war?_* - FOF knows the Waldreg actor filmed for s2, but that's all FOF knows. 3) Question: *_Do you know if we will have different armor for the Númenórean army and if they will establish a real army in S2?_* - FOF doesn't think we'll get much action from the Númenor army in S2. It looks like most of the stories will build up to the battle of Eregion. So, they don't think the army of Numenor will see much action in Season 2. Maybe there will be military exercises, but we probably won't see them in battle. They don't appear to be mobilizing their army in ME. - As for the costumes, the show will probably wait until S3 before they update the Numenor armor. The next TSAS will cover Elf costume updates. 4) Question: *_How will Sauron's “Annatar” form work with Halbrand? Will he switch from one side to the other, or will he spend the first few episodes of the season as Halbrand before abandoning everything and embracing just the other form?_* - Harry doesn't think Halbrand will be left out. Halbrand will be the human form. And the Original Sauron will be the Elvish form. These will be the two basic shapes. Other changes and forms can also happen. They didn't want to go into details, or they ran the risk of spoiling their future news too much. - Original Sauron is in flashbacks and linear plot. Harry doesn't think he will be, linearly, in episodes prior to eps 7 and 8. 5) Question: *_Will the episode with two battles only be in Eregion or will other places also suffer war, such as Lindon?_* - No. Basically, the only major conflict will take place in Eregion. Perhaps we will see armies advancing towards Eregion, burning some lands between Mordor to their final destination. But the main conflict will occur in Eregion and not anywhere else. 6) Question: *_Will there be scenes with Galadriel and Celeborn alone?_* - Yes! However, there was a scene that was cut between Galadriel and Celebborn. They have several scenes together, but one seemingly big scene was cut.
Nazgûl predictions: - Lord Belzegar, Will Keen’s Númenorean character will become the Witch-king (as you all know: Will Keen = WK = Witch-king). - The Stranger and Nori will encounter Tom Bombadil in Rhûn. They also meet Khamûl who will eventually accept a ring and become WK’s second in command (they could use a different name for him in case they don’t get permission to use “Khamûl). - Two other Númenoreans will receive rings. Perhaps one established character (Eärien, Kemen?), and one previously unknown. - One of the Southlanders. If Waldreg proves himself worthy, Sauron could appoint him his deputy among the Southlanders and reward him with a ring. - Four “dedicated extras”. They could be kings, lords and warriors among the Haradrim, Forodrim, Easterlings, people of the White Mountains, or whatever human cultures that are present in M-E during the Second Age. - Rhûn: Nori and Istari arrive in Rhûn, where they can find a group of people who shelter a mystical man and unknown people. It was also mentioned about a possible cult in Rhûn by the Mystics. - Khazâd-Dum: The Dwarves will have something to do with both the Balrog and the 7 rings, as King Durin IV will dig deeper in search of Mithril for the elves, and in this King Durin Sr. would die to the Balrog when the creature awakens. - Eregion: Narvi and Celebrimbor's friendship will be portrayed until the Siege of Eregion, where Celebrimbor must meet his death. Additionally, Annatar may appear in Eregion at some point. - Númenor: There will be some internal disagreements between Miriel and Ar-Pharazôn, along with the High Priest, Eärien, Kemen and others. He will stage a coup after the death of King Tar-Palantír, claiming that Miriel cannot reign with her vision weakened. Many agree and few oppose. - Southern Lands: Isildur will meet some new southerners. Theo, Arondir and Bronwyn could also meet him, as well as move to Pelargir. It will have a romantic core with Isildur and a new character who will save him. It is possible that there will be a death of an important character (a woman). - Galadriel & Company: Initially she could be with Gil-Galad, Celebrimbor, Elrond and Círdan, as they must make decisions about the 3 rings. But we know that she will fight Adar with Gil Galad, Elrond, Mirdania and some other elves. At some point, she will be captured by Adar and will be held captive. She must also meet Celeborn, probably in the first half of Season Two. It is also suggested by some leaked photos that elves may travel after the Battle of Eregion. - Harfoots: Nothing has been said about them so far. - Mordor: Sauron and Adar have some matters to deal with (there may be flashbacks of Sauron as Mairon, perhaps in the prologue). So for some reason, Adar will probably lead a war with his right-hand man, 'Laz' (an orc commander who will switch sides, serving Sauron). *_"These are dark times, which makes me think someone is digging a little deeper than before - perhaps deeper than is advisable._* *_I think Shelob's news was more transversal, because it brought together people who saw the films, people who play video games and book readers. It's a vast audience. I don't know, even after the first season and the reception of the character, if Celebrimbor is as interesting as Shelob, except us of course.
