I like the topic of organ here because it is trapped in space, and, more importantly, trapped in registration as an extension of building constraints and taste. I think in the context of a work like Repons there is some fruitful relationship to the notion of place, technology and acoustics. It's all more psychological, perceptual and phenomenological, so it can't be dealt with in standard analysis, but that's what makes Boulez' work all the more interesting.
