what SRK said about the threat to Bollywood is so true. we Indians need to filter the script, yes technology we really have some cheap editing. If we look at the Hollywood the way they make the film they try to make as more as realistic, presenting the story so neat and clean but here we just want to earn easy money manipulating the audience. I think what SRK said kind of make sense. I think he created redclillies VFX to contribute to technology part. We can see how big hollywood movies effect our movies. But there is also a fact that new makers are coming up with great hindi and other regional content both in cinemas and OTT that hollywood can never make.

I love Jaby's pov on the whole experience of a movie theater. These days it is so easy as we get everything on our mobile devices. Going to the theatre with your loved one is an experience you will remember for a long time. And when you see a film in such an ambience, it stays with you for years. This is exactly the reason Over the top commercial movies are made in India and are so successful. The viewer wants those 3 hours of his or her life to be magical and entertaining, so that he or she can't forget about his or her struggles. SRK is a brilliant actor no doubt but more importantly knows what his audience want. That's why his production ventures are so successful.

This Shah Rukh Khan is really humbled. I wish you could have watched his TV interviews when he was young, he was fearless, straight forward, no matter what people could think about it. Now, he is just pleasing the society to get what they want and had compressed his feeling, but i still see that spark inside him trying to get out...Once he was asked about politics, he surprisingly said "I have a alot of to talk on that" and immediately closed the question. Never was heard about it in any interview.

This discussion between Jaby and Achara is exactly why I keep coming back to this channel. Most of their discussions are a little hazy in the areas they're not familiar with, which is obviously going to happen. But I like it when their conversations flow like clear water. 21:56 About that, Jaby- The perspective you are talking about resonates more to South India or Far East India to be precise. Since Bollywood mostly copies scripts of either regional or foreign films, their target audience are shifting quite a lot towards Hollywood. They don't feel the need to see familiar faces anymore. Considering from a population of the early 90s kids till the current ones, majority of them prefer a Hollywood flick to a Bollywood copy-paste. Movies of unique concepts don't come that often in this part, hence conversion occurs. With access to Netflix in India, this shift has become more convenient. Moreover, stars like Priyanka & Deepika along with others working on English movies also enable penetration of Indian viewers into that industry. And SRK's five areas of improvement also makes sense. (I don't think there is any need of explanation from me about those points. )

Jaby you made an interesting distinction about films that Indians would discard or wouldn't. It comes back to the power of money for me, there are a lot of Indians, myself included, whose tastes have been conditioned for a very long time where we find it very difficult to appreciate Indian cinema because we love what Hollywood has to offer so much. And the feeling has only gotten stronger, so much so, that Indians like me have disconnected from Hindi films that don't meet our imagined standard of a film, and that is truly an industry killer in a real sense, because if we don't love it, it's going to be very difficult for anyone else to love an Indian film. You and people like you in this sense, have prolonged Indian film today, but with so many of us disconnected from the existential India of today, that future that Srk and Brad describe isn't far away.

I hope n pray the theatre going experience never stops for anyone n never for the coming generations. The happiness of enjoying a movie in its varied emotions and aspects in the unity of a crowd in a theatre whose desire to watch a movie is the same but everyone has their own reactions and no explanations r necessary to explain what you feel in the moment is exhilarating and happily satisfying. I totally agree with both of you dears and though platforms like Netflix, Amazon are a blessing for more relevant content at ur own leisure, the theatre going experience is sacred and needs to be regarded as such. Shahrukh is such an awesome person to watch n listen to and his intelligence as well as appreciation for the artform that is filmmaking is phenomenal. Love Brad Pitt n his movies n it was amazing to see him with Srk. Want to watch his movie now.. Rajeev Masand ji did a great job interviewing them. The seating was uncomfortable though especially the sofas n the camerawork (at times).n Jaby, Srk ji is a pro at navigating conversations seamlessly n a true listener 🌹♥️💖😊🙏

I'm not a die hard SRK fan but we can't deny that he is the most popular actor. I love Tom Cruise more than anything but still SRK stands tall. Many sites in Google said that he is popular than most of them combined. In late 90's or in early 2000's SRK told that he can make everyone happy with just his presence. With that kind of quality it is not a surprise that he is more popular than them combined.
