Nick Broomfield is brilliant. I re-visit his Aileen Wuornos films from time to time and can’t help but feeling worse for her as time goes by. I think Nick was one of so few actual friends she had. To see the deterioration of her mind just before her execution was truly very sad. Her life was tragic and heartbreaking. Her own mother abandoned her when she was just 6 months old and said she’d “rest better” once Aileen was executed… It’s no wonder she turned to the dark side. My heart goes out to the families of the victims and I truly hope that Aileen found peace on the other side. Thank you for sharing this.
This is what i believe. Nick i thought was kind of an ass for what he did to kurt cobains legacy but now i repsect him and love what he did for this documentary. Really wish he would do a followup to kurt and courtney. His love for aileen and his work to try to help her was beauitful. Honesky i cried so much after seeing her ending and the film playing out to carnival
I hate John Tanner. Such a Christian man who went after Aileen so hard but was trying to gain sympathy for Ted Bundy and get him off death row. Can’t stand that fraud. Love Nick’s documentaries.
