INTERVIEW with Gaiapatra - The Fan Epidemic 

Gaia is so sweet, and honestly, I’m appalled, but not surprised, that fans were like this to her. The fan base over the years has gotten so toxic, and people even did this to another member of the same band (Ricky) when he was with his previous partner, which caused him to be more private in his life (kudos to him). Some female “fans” literally stalked her on Tumblr, Instagram, etc spreading so much hate, lies, etc. NO ONE deserves this. And if you’re really a fan of the band, why act this way? So what if your favorite singer has a partner/girlfriend? That’s their life, and you’re eons younger than them. I will never, in all of my 27 years, understand toxic “fan” culture and jealousy.

I was so surprised at how sweet and cute she is. In her photos, she always looks so though but she is just a sweet person. I totally agree and I don't understand why would somebody say mean things about someone they don't know just because they are dating someone.

I've always admired Gaia I'm glad she's speaking up about it she seems like such a sweet humble person. She didn't deserve any hate from miw fans that is beyond psycho. I'm a fan of both of them there both very talented artist. I wish Gaia nothing but blessings and hugs.

God. I knew she went through a lot with the MiW fan base, I saw a lot of it. But I didn’t know it was like THAT. She didn’t deserve that.

Also something that’s like what??! Like I’ve seen some posts with people hating on Gaia but with the fake cheating messages??! Why would you want to ruin a relationship if they were both happy that’s what matters. All of the fans even to all of the band members in other bands are acting like jealous lovers? I think that’s how you say it.

Unfortunately, many women will preach about girl power, but as soon as another girl dates their fave they become too much obsessed and manipulative

Gaia, I am so sorry people have treated you this way. Been a follow of yours for years. I no longer have social media but I still look at your page and your website for updates. I don't know you but you seem like beautiful soul. You are a positive strong woman that is bringing great change for women. Thank you for having the courage to speak about this🖤

Even so long after getting over my metal phase and stopped listening to Motionless I still follow Gaia and now where she is more open with her views and who she is as person like her even more :). She is very reflective in the whole industry which is something I really appreciate and think we need more of. I have to admit that Gaia definitly was one of my first crushes as my little 14 year old self at the time haha. So it's funny to find out that she actually discovers her interest in women now (in the same way I did with her at the time haha). But despite that it's still hard to view someome in a postive light when everyone views them in a negative. I feel like this is definitly something that can mess with the perceptions of everyone when there even exists a small vocal minority. And I think becuase Gaia was so very private during that (which is definitly understanble) it's kind of like having an empty card board where people can project any narrative they want. I think creating your own story may help to at least control perceptions a little bit more and would to a certain extend stop people making so many false assumption...because Let's be real what do we know of someone when we just have pictures? Hearing Gaia speak (even in there small snippet videos that were om her insta) she seems like the sweetest person in the world which doesn't really translate to the more serious art she makes 😅 and I guess this might have impacted that too to some extend. Also the metal industry seems to be really cruel to women In general not just with hate but even any positivity is only directed at a womens ability to be a sort of sexual goddess for the pleasure of men without any thoughts feelings and personality of their own and you especially see that with female vocalists as well. And I could see that some of that energy sie directed to the girlfriends of members as well. I'm honestly glad I left the scene altogether and follow Gaia om her own. I hope she will procuce more content like that in the future. Sending much love

This video needs more views, it’s an important topic that doesn’t get enough recognition! When men have crushes on female celebrities they might go “she has nice tits” or sg along those lines but would never send hate to their partner… I wish girls would be the same and would stop dreaming about absolutely absurd things. Girl, be happy that a 20+ year old grown man doesn’t want to sleep with your 14 year old self….. You can admire someone and be respectful at the same time!! (and the time you spend writing hate comments/messages and making up fake stories you could spend studying or working for your own dream, living your own damn life)

It’s good to point these sorts of things out it needs to be looked at more.

If they really did love each other why did they let these losers ruin their relationship? I'm sorry. I know it must of been hard and some days more rough then others but if you really love the person you wouldn't let that make the relationship end.

i never really knew Gaia past her pictures on instagram but i have so much respect for her since this interview ! she really put a lot into perspective you don’t even think about normally or realize is as bad as it is outside of the surface. hopefully some people see this and change the culture of everything happening so it’s just a much more positive, and healthier place for everyone. because even fans go after fans at this point and it’s so ridiculous and out of control

I am 51 and I have only truly 'loved' like a couple men in my life, and these men I did look at like they were 'Gods' so to speak. These men looked at me the same way I could just see it in their eyes, like the whole world around us was not even there, like time stood still, one minute you are just talking then you look up and the sun light is coming in thru the window, its almost weird. I do understand what this lady is saying though and I feel bad for her being treated so poorly. People should put themselves in another's shoes and have empathy for how they might be scaring some one or making them feel bad. If nothing else why would you put this famous person thru the drama? If you 'love' them so much? I was wondering what kind of a women Chris Motionless was with and I must say she seems very well spoken, level headed and rather sweet. Great interview thank you.

Comon courtesy n manners seem to disappear the more social media evolves. I personally loathe the negativity toxic fans create, the gossip, drama et al. Im the last generation to know life before the internet and people really need to step away from devices and find positive healthy habits and interests.

What the fans did to Gaia they're doing to his new partner already and he just announced their relationship. What those fans did is made Chris so much more private.

It’s actually amazing how respectful and resilient Gaia is considering the crap that was being said about her around the time she was dating Chris. It’s unfortunate knowing that the hate she received was likely what affected the outcome of their relationship.

The internets a very strange window of people looking at others, I prefer to know real people in genuine relationships and tbh I feel really lucky to of grown up in a world where I know the difference and can recognise the negatives that have come with the internet, but I am afraid there may be younger people that do not recognise how strange their actions are online, it's crazy how fans feel entitled to some sort of owner ship over the person's life which is when it turns into some thing dark like obsession and that's the unhealthy behaviours that need highlighting, no one need to attack others just because they're jealous. Women should support other women instead if seeking to destroy them, not cool!

Gai it's not my business to pry but I will just say as a person who has become a fan of both of yours Chris but not a creepy stalker type just the usual laid back trying to enjoy what you both as remarkable talented artist do have to offer to better the world .To me that's a major importance for all walks of life . I really appreciate all you done for him & the band & hope that things work out .I would not allow the negativity get to you both have so much more to look forward to in life . When you do work together as bff's even a couple you make great positive miracles happen for others. Please both keep being that blessed beings you are?.BigHugs .In a non creepy way.
