Loved watching Ollie during lockdown. When I started 3 years ago I thought I'd never make it after seeing how quick he would diagnose faults. I'm definitely getting better and more confident.
Ollie is a legend. Best engineer that I have ever watched. Very happy that he's got some new material coming out. I've watched all of his previous videos...... twice. Call me sad 🤣
Could listen to you guys all day, great show and Ollie gives great in site into real life business. Been plumbing and gas work for last 30 years still can’t get it right, but still here.
I found Ollie’s videos 2019 and had been gas safe for 3 years, his knowledge has helped me move into the service and breakdown area and away from plumbing, although I still do it all. His technical knowledge is unrivalled on RU-vid in my opinion. I also got my mum who lives in south London to call heating geeks when she had an intermittent pcb fault on her Alpha boiler, she is usually abit nervous of tradesmen but she had only good things to say about the engineer that attended! I hope Heating geeks lives on as a business, personally I think there is definitely room to up the rates. Cheers Ollie and this was a great podcast to listen too!
With breakdowns i think Its a trial by fire, look in the book, google then call Manufacturers, i think youtube is great as you can learn off other engineers, that being said what did the old boys do before internet? The followed the flow charts
Water off in the street ! hahaha, I've turned the gas off at the meter for a Tw#t like that on a Xmas eve and locked his boiler out and put his Aga pilot out , years after he did me for some money.
