This STILL is by far one of JJ's best interviews and for that, hats off to Alicia. He's one of the more coy non-talkative artists and Alicia really knew how to make JJ comfortable and engaging with her pace and energy.
So lucky you got to chat with JJ! He is the sweetest and drop dead gorgeous! Love how he doesn't label his music and just goes with whatever he feels! Love their style!
This guy seems like a different person when he's singing, I mean, if someone who has never listened to Kaleo hears JJ's voice in this interview, that someone can think easily that he's a common singer of the wave. That's incredible.
Thank you for actually putting together a good interview with this band. I've watched too many interviews by doofy radio djs who hyperfocus on butchering the band members' names and/or don't seem to have done any research. It's so awkward, so this interview is refreshing.
Just found this interview today, and I love it! Questions: 1) When you met JJ, was he very professional, and you feel like personally it would be hard to get to know him? 2) Were there any questions beforehand that Kaleo's people told you not to ask? Like personal questions or anything?
