Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
Tom Cruise’s portrayal was more accurate. But Stuart Townsend is a beautiful man. Girls loved him as Lestat and they loved him as Dorian Gray in League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He has a look that works for the victorian, gothic, or elizabethan look. Give him a wig and he makes women swoon.
I think of it like this. The Tom Cruise Lestat is how Louis sees him. Interview is told exclusively from Louis' point of view and in The Vampire Lestat, we learn that Louis was an unreliable narrator. This version of Lestat is how the real Lestat sees himself. I'm not a huge fan of this movie but Lestat is one of the few things they got right.
@MelchiYAH lestat in queen of the damned movie is not lestat at all. he's a nu-metal depressed guy, when lestat was humourous, full of sass and flair and was more freddie mercury than a numetal rockstar
i like the music, and its my such genre but indeed if they had a better product less jumpy of a movie i think stuart townsend Lestat was gone be even better then this one.
The role fit him far better than it did Tom Cruise, that is an absolute certainty. This man is Lestat in my opinion. One of the rare occasions when a character got recast for the better, and that is not stated with any disrespect intended for Tom Cruise who is a fine actor himself.
@@jamessackett9239 Honestly Tom Cruise as lestat in the 90s and 1800s is was quite good he was sinister a devil but the dude who plays lestat in present time is really good to his just like tom
I think Cruise was fantastic but I see his Lestat and Townsend as two different interpretations of the character from the point of view of Louis and Lestat respectively.
Lapour Jenkins Death Valley is located in Eastern California, which is very far away from my home country of England. I don't think I'll be seeing everybody. But I wouldn't miss being w/ a badass vampire for the world..❤️ Not a chance in Hell would I ever miss out....
@@tremainedouglas288 Don't you ever mention Edward Cullen from Twilight! Edward Cullen and Cullens and others in Twilight are NOT vampires! They sparkle.
i rewatch clips like every month and i watch the move atleast 2 times a year and now i'm reading the books aswell. this is my number 1 for over 8years now.
I loved this movie the history the Love the action all about that perfeito amazing i loved Lestat Jesse and Aaliyah (Akasha)❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💜 faz tempo que não vejo este filme/ saudades desse tempo
one of my FAVs this man legend in my book and he's part me should hes was acting and ill never till you if i met him or not cause in my mind hes always with me helping me healing me and saving me from me
Trey Stephens-The hair might be the wrong colour, but he still has the kind of face I pictured Lestat having when reading the book, he even has that almost cruel mocking sort of smile & hypnotic gaze that Anne Rice describes him as having. Plus Stuart Townsend captures Lestat's personality in the books & his sense of humour perfectly.
Well, he is supernatural, if i not mistaken he can read minds, he could just read the persons mind and se were they looking him ate the monitor. Is creep AF
Who should play Lestat in " The Vampire Lestat"? Who should play his mom? This book was amazing....it's how he became a vampire...he turned his mom into a vampire ! I gotta read it again.
A thought just came to me, do you think they will ever make a tv series based of Interview with the Vampire Chronicles? And if they did who would you see star in it?
@@BlackCatFilmProductionsMaybe Seth Numrich for Louis and Jamie Campbell Bower for Lestat. But that is just off the top of my head. I will give it more thought. 🤔 How about you? What are your choices?
What storyline comes first interview with a vampire or Queen of the damn cause at the end of interview with a vampire he was fucked up and in the modern world I'm just confused about the time lines
Pretty sure this is meant to be after, but it also comes off as an entirely different movie with hardly anything linking it to interview. From what I've heard Warner Bros only made this movie so the rights to the first one wouldn't go back to the author of the books.
I loved the books and I thought several members of the cast were great. That being said I agree, it is so far away from the source material that they should've just changed the name.
Wait a minute!! Vampires don't appear on film because cameras have mirrors. And Vampires have NO reflections. Therefore, vampires won't be able to appear on camera (video or photography)!
This movie is terrible anyway. The only thing I liked in it is the ending shot where they are walking slowly through the city but everything else is moving very quickly as if years are going by, but they are still there walking the streets. That was a cool shot that has meaning to the story.
Elizabeth Clark Tom did not do this.Townsend so sings, with a better attitude And seems smart.Ctuise is ,a narcissist, capturing our Attention Waste. LestT gave him reason I
Elizabeth Clark Well...if book 2 is made " The Vampire Lestat" I wonder who they will get to play him???? It's the story of how Lestat became a vampire...
aspen ivy I love Tom cruise as Lestat. Reading interview, I always saw Lestat as making fun of society as a way to pass time. I feel like Townsend came across as dead serious about all of it.
This one came out eight years later. Tom Cruise had aged some and they probably didn't want to blow their budget for big names in acting. Tom Cruise was probably also unavailable, because he had a movie come out in both 2001 and 2002.
It is originally called "Satan's Night Out", but when Lestat comes along as front man, they change the name to "The Vampire Lestat". The pretty girl with the pink in her hair is named "Tough Cookie", and she is basically his favorite band mate. It's all in the book. It's a good read.
Actually, One of Jim Morrison's real rock interviews was far more mysterious and convincing than this-almost cartoonish. However, his challenge to the orher vampires is convincing.
Don’t get me wrong I love this movie but you got to admit that there are somethings that are dated with it that are laughable to look back at today’s times in 2021 and man if people thought this movie made vampires look bad wait until 2008. 😄
