+deadspaceman111 that seems to be really common. it used to be "cool" to be a Christian band, plus if you grow up in a Christian household then you don't want your parents destroying your dream.
Bruh, Christian's are Pagan af. The new testament is like literally indo european mythology and greek mythology fused with Canaanite pantheon lmao. Like legitimate covens could be called "christian" for the things they do. And that's not bad. It is this revised, liberal new age nonsense that has spun christianity into this "seperate" "non special" entity by making it seem IINNAPROPRIATELY snd NON FACTUAL thing. Yes its above alot of other stuff in it's TRUE form because its morally sound and trystworthy, but the deities invoked are pretty known. Christ is the one invoked, but it opens your world to the Canasnite and other pantheons. That's REAL christianity.
I love your questions and specially how you present them. Keep doing what you're doing man, you got a bright future. As for Lorna Shore, I just love these guys and that's how I found your channel.
I love the way Tom explains the music video part, when you listen to a song particularly one with a video you imagine that, Lorna Shore's videos are so fucking dark and awesome you just see the lyrics and the meaning (of course once you filter through the vagueness giving the edge of mysteriousness he talks about) perfect way to sum it up.
LONG POST omg. i’m a new lorna shore fan and although this interview is old with tom at least, i’m so into these guys’ demonstration of humility and realness!! this whole interview rocks but i was so stunned when tom said for today was overrated!! i grew up with a very zealous and devout religious upbringing but i went to an underground church filled with people that look like these dudes. sleeping giant performed at the church i attended. as a young child i jammed bands like war of ages, as i lay dying, impending doom, tdwp, and as tom mentioned, for today!!!! and never once did i think that for today was a band that got enough recognition to the point that they were overrated, simply due to the fact that i was more than likely too young to actually understand the whole metal scene at a higher level of awareness. i never thought “christian” metal could be dubbed as overrated, i guess it what i am trying to say! i never saw for today live, and although i don’t share the same ideals as the younger version of myself, i still have for today’s discography in my spotify library. ekklesia will always be my favorite album by them. i agree with tom in terms of his disdain towards the preaching and getting on the soapbox during a show, but there was once a time in my life when i went out and did the exact same thing thatfor today coupled along with their musical career so i respect their passion for fully standing behind their beliefs. i guess bottom line of what i’m trying to say is i’m blown away to have essentially come full circle when hearing my current favorite band mention a band that fertilized my growing passion for heavy music. i’m really looking forward to seeing lorna for the first time in april on their tour with enterprise earth🤘🏻💘
For today is "religious". Not Christian. Real christianity is practically interchangeable with Hellenic mythology and Anatolian Hekate snd Apollo worship. Jesus is great and opens you up to massive pantheons. For today is cucked snd invokes the spirit of judgement, not righteous judgment. Its cucky. But yeah, they still bring Europeans to christ for sure
This was a well done interview. But for real you need to choose a different location with less noise, whatever that truck or tractor trailer was doing is really annoying, other than that it was awesome man.
It sucks that Austin and Adam are on bad terms with Tom now...I would love to see a Lorna Shore/CG co-headliner tour. Now I'm curious as hell to see what they decide to do with "Immortal" now that CJ is out of the band...do they still release it as is? Or do they postpone it and re-track the vocals once they find a new vocalist? They're in one of the worst situations I've ever seen a band in. Literally just signed with Century as well, I wonder how they feel about all of it.
Interview would be way better if you werent rushing them to the next question every second. That pisses me off the most they are taking their time to let you interview them and your still gonna rush them through just to get everything answered quickly.
