Interview with Master Perfumer Sonia Constant 

Omg this is the best perfumer interview ever!!! Very intimate and casual but at the same time informative and emotional. I love when Sonia shared some vulnerability and her background. Love her and her work! Thanks for this Ash! 😍😍😍

Ombre Leather EDP and Noir Extreme EDP are two of my favourite fragrances of all time. So much so that I own two 100ml. bottles of both. They are, to me, true masterpieces of perfumery. Thank you, Sonia Constant, for these extraordinary Tom Ford scents. Wonderful interview, Ashley. There's a great deal of knowledge, respect and integrity that has been shared here.

Ashley, this was an awesome interview with Sonia Constant. I love a lot of her creations. Tom Ford Noir Extreme & Ombre Leather are 2 of my favorite fragrances that she created. She seems like a great person and a great mentor.

I moved to a tropical island recently, and my current fav for daytime is Kenzo L'eau 2 pour homme created by Sonia Constant. Such an underrated scent! While the performance is not the best, it has the most refreshing & uplifting opening ever. Perfect for hot weather. Definitely deserved more recognition And thank you for the insghtful interview, Ashley

What an interesting interview. This gives quite an insight on how perfumery is truly an art form, and the work that goes into creating a new fragrance. I have and thoroughly enjoyed Sonia Constant’s creative works, Tom Ford Noir Extreme, Ombré Leather, Narciso Rodríguez for him Bleu Noir and two flankers, and lastly JPG Le Beau. I look forward to future releases by this very talented master perfumer.

Ashley, I was finally able to get a discovery set of the whole Ella K line from Luckyscent, so it was absolutely incredible to smell the Leather Trilogy for the first time with Sonia and you guiding me through it! What an experience - it gives me such an appreciation for her art to hear this interview again while actually smelling her fragrances, so THANK YOU! Now my problem is choosing which bottle to get first because I love so many from her line! A very nice "problem" to have. ;)

Love her. Ombre Leather, Donna Noir Absolu, Dancing Roses 👌💖 I didn't know she also did ballet! 🩰 Wonderful insight into her process and her reasons for starting Ella K. I know a lot of perfumers are going that route for the same reasons. Have a feeling that I would really enjoy Poeme de Sagano. 💚

Thank you for creating Noir Extreme and Ombre Leather, Sonia. Not that I've personally ever done this, but a lot of leather fragrances smell like a pile of cocaine, to me. Ombre Leather is the only leather composition that actually evokes the scent memory of an old, black leather jacket.
