Where do I start 1. What is the meaning of Intl student? They are someone who comes from abroad for purely academic/study reasons whereby at the end of their course they gain the intended qualifications and go back to their motherland. Intl students intention should not be to come for “work” as this is not what should be the intention - period. What I hear from this video and all other videos is that “there is no work”, “accommodation is tough to find” etc. If these guys were genuine students - they would forecast and analyse everything about the country, exchange rates, rental/tuition fee, work provisions and come to solid conclusion - if this is affordable / worth it or not. The fact that no research was done in the first place (from what I can gather) and they believed everything what the “so called” consultancies said in Nepal have led to this situation for almost every Nepali students. I want to pity these guys but at the same time i dont. Here are my reasons 1. Research - there is so called Internet that is available in every nooks and corners in Nepal. Why were they not fully utilised to find out about UK, rent situations, study methods, learning the language cost of living etc. 2. Accommodation - every university in UK by law should provide accommodation options for intl students. Fair enough If it is expensive - its not the uni’s problem..students have to factor the cost of living before they arrive i.e research which is lacking and always is the case. 3. Work - who in the hell thought can pay tuition fees, pays rent and all other expenses while working just 20 hrs per week. This is unheard of. Intl students are given these hours to work not to earn money but to taste the life of Brits as this is how they learn life skills. 3. Mindset - the whole mindset of Nepali intl student is wrong from the get go. All they talk about is ILR or PR - hold on did say you came to work or study? If the intention is to WORK..from what i can gather in all these videos is sorry my friend..this is not how it works unfortunately. 4. Accountability - onus falls on the students themselves. From the start to finish they rely solely on so called consultancies - believing everything they say..this is despite their friends and families telling them its not easy..and comes to YT to vent their frustration. I blame not only the student but the whole Nepali culture I am sorry..from age 1 - even in adulthood everything is spoon fed or leads their life in “ah rey” “eh ho” way this was bound to happen. If students are serious abt what they want to achieve and is singular focused to study..all these above should be well researched and it will surely be achieved.
