I'm Jamaican and live here in Tz . I have absolutely no regrets. Came with 3 kids and they did brilliantly in the education system. I came mainly because of my kids( and my Tanzanian husband). I just wanted them to have a 'normal' childhood which I didn't think was possible in the west. So , no regrets.

@Deshone Robinson ...I'm already familiar with the "We're not African but native Americans" conspiracy theories of Dane Calloway. My guess is, you've never been to Africa, just like Dane Calloway. My suggestion is, instead of just imbibing Calloway's teachings, visit Africa for yourself. Go to Ghana and hang out there for a few weeks. Learn about the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade first hand from the Africans, some of whom had their relatives taken into slavery. Be like an investigator. Once you're done, then go back to America. Thereafter you can say with authority, "I've been to Africa and those people are not anything like us." Or you may be convinced that you're an African after-all, and begin to challenge Dane Calloway' s conspiracy theories. I'm a continental African myself and I love my black brothers and sisters in America. That includes you. Peace.

what's good is you guys have a support system..repat community. Repatriation is good if you have a steady of income or can work from anywhere in the world. Digital nomads are doing it. You cannot compare the cost of living here and there unless you are generating the same income in both places. The economies are different, standard of living is different, salaries are different. So, if you're not bringing in the same income from the US in tanzania ???

Hi Kat, would you say it's a good idea for a middle age single woman to move ? I would like to live a slower pace life . I want to have an organic farm and work as an Osteopathic manual practitioner, possibility have my own clinic. I have been to Tanzania several times but mostly as a tourist. Do you have any links for getting a long term visa and permanent status papers work permits how to acquire a farm, and any other job tips ?
@goldenalberts8438
@goldenalberts8438 4 года назад
Just go there and find a friend or a Soul Mate to help you establish your clinic to enable you have your stay and eventually Citizenship.
@missdigioia
@missdigioia 4 года назад
It's a good idea for any1 of any to move theres no age requirement. Be patient be open be ready. Maybe try finding someone who speaks English or someone you can trust, take a visit to ask these questions to the relevant bodies. Have your money ready. I'm sure theres agencies/companies out there to help but honestly just go for it.

@goodluckc.m8966 4 года назад
@Imhotep Genius this is not possible,,,, a foreigner can not own a land in tanzania,,,,, unless is for investment purposes ,,,, and that is through TIC,, (TANZANIA INVESTMENT CENTER ) where the title will be under TIC ,,you will only be given a derivative right for the land for 99yrs or 66 its depends.

Greetings, I have a question about the land. After you purchase the land would I still have to pay taxes on it? Does much wildlife reach where you live? And finally, are there alot of restrictions on farmer's like the U.S?
@KiangiAri
@KiangiAri 4 года назад
Hello...@Laisha Sanders.. 1.There land tax especially in Urban areas..but it is very little amount paid annually!..In rural and semi urban you hardly pay any land tax! 2.wildlife!....again it depends on which part of the country!..in most places encounter with wildlife in farmland is unheard !Tz is huge..940,087 sq km...60M people..the land is vast! 3.Restrictions?....nothing like what you experience there !...Here you can have your own "Republic" literary...your own land,source of water, own electricity etc without stupid red tape !
