Phil Sharp, sailor famous for pushing the limits of himself and any boats he steps on, went to complete a task on his bucket list this autumn - race the Silverrudder challenge of the Sea. After succesfull Mini 650 campaign, winning Route du Rhum on Class 40 and being in the midst of his IMOCA60 joining the largest solo race in the world, mostly sailed by amateurs seemed like holidays. But it turned out even hardned offshore racers can find enough challenge and satisfaction in 24 hour race, when they join with a boat like FIRST 36.
