SHINee is a 9 year old group who never loses their roots, always humble and hardworking. Their talent is always recognized by experts and admired by fellow idols. They are not afraid to experiment on new music and concept so they always warm up the public of the trend to come. Even though, I did not meet you from the start, I am a proud fan now and will be for years to come. Always here to support you until your 99th anniversary. Don't misunderstand, people. Jjong wasn't hiding behind smiles. Last time i saw him at SWC5 in Jakarta he wasn't his usual bubbly self, he was exhausted and fans thought he had a fever. He talked a lot about difficulties on his blue night radio and during interviews. He cried oceans at concerts. He was never hiding that he's having a hard time. The people who cared to look/listen knew that he was unwell, he tried to save himself as best he could and we tried to be by his side and make him feel loved as best we could.

9 years of SHINee :') My only regret is not knowing them sooner, I wish I was there since debut but better late than never. I promise however I will make up for those years I've lost with lots of love and support and I'll still stan these talented young men from inside my grave! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY SHINee!

One of the few Gen2 groups who still have their full original members, love how they naturally evolve their music be it as a group or solo, no major scandals, and best of all their dynamics never changed all these years, still the dorky bunch hehe Tho I wasn't with them for the whole of 9 years but being a Shawol for 7 years, I can't help but feel proud

Shinee is the reason main reason I never fully dropped out of kpop. Onew had me at first smile. (And his voice. HIS VOICE.) On a more serious note, is anyone else relieved that Onew has quit drinking? I mean a few drinks on a weekly basis is obviously fine but I remember back when the rest of Shinee and other celebrities would regularly mention his ability to hold his alcohol and be able to outdrink everyone. I feel like SK has an unhealthily tendency to glorify (heavy) drinking, especially with men. Just from listening to celebrities alone I wouldn't be surprised if a large number of Koreans were (high functioning) alcoholics without even realizing it. I know some drinking stories are exaggerated but then you often see people being impressed/amazed instead of worried about someone's drinking ability.

When you look at the amount of people in the stadium, it makes you realise that they have so many fans. I mean it's only a small amount of their Korean fan base, so there are more who weren't at the concert and there's the international fan base. It kind of hits you hard because you realise how many fans mourned Jonghyun at the time of his death. The amount of people who had a terrible christmas in 2017 and just the whole fan base, know a person has gone when they love him so much. When a member of a group leaves the group, its usually because of personal problems or controversies surrounding them, but in this case its tragic and touching. People watching this when it was uploaded would look at it and probably smile a lot, but watching it 3 + years later is totally different. You simply feel awful for those shawols watching this in May 2017, as they would have no idea what the near future for SHINee would be like. But I feel like Jonghyun left all of us, such great music, on a solo level and through his songwriting and voice with SHINee, that the sadness doesn't affect me as much. I agree with shawols who write "don't remember him for his death, remember him for who he was". Just listen to Jonghyun music and SHINee and feel grateful for what he did for us all. From tears of sorrow to tears of joy.
