Honestly - English cast had a ton of emotion - they were all great. Terri should have been cast for all english dubs.

IDC what anyone says, I adored the DiC dub. Every voice actor added so much passion and emotion to their parts. It was well written and even the score was wonderful. Yes, they cut the crap of it ... but it was marketed to young girls (10 and under). The cloverway dub was a mess ... but Terri Hawkes and the DiC dub was marvelous.

She looks great and still sounds exactly like Sailor Moon.

Her performance when Sailor Moon realized she was Princess Serenity was amazing. You can really connect with the character because her emotions were so powerful in those episodes.

This woman is literally amazing in every way. SO sweet and kind and humble!

My family use to make fun of me because I watched Sailor Moon. I use to rush home every morning after school at 3 to catch a new episode. But it's because of voice talents like Terri Hawkes I learned to ignore the put downs and enjoy what I liked. It helped me to, ironically, build my confidence. Thanks Terri and Dic for taking a chance and bringing Sailor Moon to American audiences.

Sailor Moon is what got me into anime. I watched it since I was 8. I am 23 and when I listen to her English voice I can close my eyes and remember the magic that she brought to my life.

I highly confess that I never had an interest in G-Anime at all until I watched Sailor Moon. I love Terri Hawkes. I also remember her from the 1987 horror movie Hello Mary Lou - Prom Night 2.

It's funny that they talked about the french dub since i'm french I would have loved to have her thought on it. By the way her little french speech was very cool, she was good despite the lack of practice. Fun fact, Sailor Moon has been bought by a french channel way before the USA. It makes me proud to say that we saw the potential behind japanese animation since the early 1980. I'm almost sure we were the first country to broadcast Sailor Moon after Japan of course. Around late 1993 so very very close from the original post production. The french actress for Sailor Moon was very good then she left after season 3 then the second one wasn't that great for the role though she is a renown voice actress and the official french voice of the actress Natalie Portman. The voice actress behind Sailor Venus who is my favourite lived in Canada for quite some time. Jeff you did a great interview.

I think I just realized why I'm so justice driven and want to become a police officer..I was born in 1994 and grew up watching Sailor Moon..Think it was engraved in my brain to want to fight for justice etc. Hmm. I even decided to watch Inuyasha again (I started watching when I was 7 or 8) & I've noticed my beliefs and the way I act are like the two characters in the show. I'm now starting to believe I was a very easily influenced child.

You people realize that 90% of Sailor Moon sailor moon R with literally censored not only that because of DIC in stupid clover way season five never made its way to the English-speaking people and now finally will be in 2019 thank you VIC media Teri was only 57 episodes then they got another actress for Sailor Moon S and that's when I became a hard-core fan and that voice actress was just as bad but Terry was decent

I think part of me will never really forgive the casting director for not correcting the role for SMS and SMSS and leaving our ears to bleed to the unbearable voice of Linda Ballantyne instead. (I'm sure Linda is a great person, but we all know she's the worst Sailor Moon VA.) I was like 15 when we got SMS and even I knew back then it was horrible. I know Terri had twins and couldn't commit, but the casting director could have at least picked a sound alike or something. Anyway, Terri made my childhood awesome. Edit: I mouthed the words "moon healing activation" dramatically since it's almost 1 AM and that would otherwise piss everyone off if I yelled it at this hour. XD
