Something we have to remember is that in interviews, the cast has said it's not a retelling of the books but a continuation of the story from multiple point of views. So, it's possibly not necessarily true story the first time around. Minds could have been messed with as vampires have the mind gift, they may be able to read minds, communicate with other vampires with their minds, etc. This episode is showing that Armand was manipulating minds, so whose version are we going to believe? I liked the scene in the museum where Armand is telling Louis his background/ making story and Lestat is looking at him like are you buying this? Lestat did say the ancient overseas vampires were vicious. So sad for what's coming for Claudia. . .

All excellent points. I feel there will be slight conflict between Armand and Louis because of what he did to Claudia in that one scene. It's getting crazy and I'm here for it!

I hope in season 3 they go right into the book plot of Queen of the Damned...it has its drama and violence ...and it had a character on film that was played by the late beautiful Aaliyah

@@psychedelicpegasus7587yes and I keep hearing Sam Reid say we haven’t seen the REAL LESTAT yet in season 1 or 2 😮 so far it’s either Louis or Armand’s viewpoint of Lestat 🫣

Nice recap: But you do know Anne Rice (before her passing) and Christopher (her son) worked intensely with AMC in creating this "re-telling" of her 1976 novel. Thus, though the time frame was reset from Theatre des Vampyrs original 1880s Belle Epoque period to WWII nearly every one who read the novel or saw the Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt movie will know exactly what is going to happen. Despite time changes AMC version has stayed close to the script. (Hint--- there actually 13 books in the full Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles) obviously Lestat is not dead LOL) But a couple of main characters will perish. I won't give it away. Enjoy.

I remember hearing Anne Rice having a lot to do with the series. Didn't know her son took part as well. Very cool. I did watch the movie and the series blows it out of the water. I'm glad they're staying pretty close to the aource material. And dayum! That many books??? Anne Rice wasn't messing around! I wonder how long the series will go, especially knowing there's much more material. I really appreciate your notes. Take care!!!
