I used to work at AGI Media.... we used to print DVD covers and Blue Ray box sets...and i have helped and printed them myself. Interview with A Vampire... and the A in the title was a special RED and looked a bit like a fang with a drip of blood coming off it.... ive probably printed about 2,000,000 of them over nearly ten years .. it comes out every Halloween. and i remember making sure the red in the " A " was the right color. i know what i remember....But it seems to have gone ...i cant find a copy on the web ..Anywhere

Moogle Midgar Yes, 'Interview With A Vampire' does seem to make more sense to many people, which is why you saw it that way. Your brain skipped over the words that were actually there, and filled them in with the words you expected. Happens all the time. For future reference, 'a' and 'the' do not refer to quantity. Both are singular. If the book were about more than one vampire, it would have been called 'Interview with the Vampires.' Her use of 'the' in the title is meant for emphasis. You may want to consider how much you're embarrassing yourself in public before calling strangers on the internet 'stupid' and 'dumb gums.' Frankly, I'm surprised you spelled 'dumb' correctly.
@leepaiva9454
@leepaiva9454 7 лет назад
***** How do you know what her intentions were with the words she used? What emphasis does THE give anything? I am truly trying to understand your logic, I am in no way talking down. I have always had a problem with things that I can't remember, meaning it BOTHERED me until I found the answer and there is ALWAYS good old google to help me out. THIS however is something I cannot simply google, and it is really messing with my head. I can picture in my head when I picked up the book at the store the first time "Interview With A Vampire" and until a few days ago, never even gave it a second though. I have read the book about 6 times over the years, and as recently as 4 months ago before I stumbled upon this Mandela thing. I hope this is just equivalent to a brain fart... like when someone asks you a question that you KNOW, but for some reason you cannot think of the answer. All of these "effects" are started with, "Remember when THIS used to be THIS?" and were all like "YEAH?" "Well, now it is THIS" and were all like "NO WAY" and it is always something arbitrary that we couldn't possibly know for SURE like one word in a title etc... So I think this may just be a brilliant exploit of the human brain. Anyway, this was me trying to make some sense of it all, anyone that actually read this, thanks, and feel free to contribute to the conversation so we can figure this thing out together! One Love People!

I remember back in the early 2000s I looked at my Interview book and it said Interview With The Vampire. I was confused cause I always thought it said Interview with A Vampire. Then I looked at the movie box and it said Interview With A Vampire. I was then more confused. So I did some research and read some articles online saying it was changed to A for the movie but the book originally was The. So the movie name confused me to think the book was The. Now I see this Mandela effect and it’s driving me nuts cause now both say The and that was not the case before. I specifically remember this and locked it in my mind as something Hollywood does by changing the name of books. Also I got to this video after I looked at a trailer for Interview with the Vampire TV show on AMC and I was like why did they use the book’s name and not the movie’s name. So that proves to me that I thought the books where named THE and the movie named A.

Most of them I'm hearing the pronounced tha. I can see how people would get this confused since the follows the word with. The "th" from with gets mixed with the "th" in the word the. And most people pronounce the as tha and not thee. When you say the phrase at a normal pace it sounds like the letter a. Also, the mother in Forrest Gump said life is like a box of chocolates. He was quoting his mom so he said my mom always said life was like a box of chocolates. Both phrases in the movie.

Yes and as most of us know there is always some kind of symbolism to these hollywood movie covers like the one eye symbolism on so many of them or the pyramid or triangle, in this case the red A was a pyramid. IF you think i am crazy just look at several different movie covers and you too will see the one eye being darkened out or covered or the symbol of the pyramid or triangle.

Pause this video at 2:10 and READ THE SCREEN. Just because Bimbina says it wrong doesn't make it so. Also, pause at 2:16, set the video speed to 50% and you can hear Anne Rice say THE if you ignore the text on the screen. "I always thought THE vampire was the interesting one." ... "I wanted you to fall in love with THE vampire."

I think you lot need to get your hearing tested or maybe consider how the word "The" is being pronounced each time. To me, they are all clearly saying "The Vampire", but "The is being pronounced they way I, or British people would say it. We pronounce "The" like "Thuh", not Thee" and "A" like "Ay", not "Ah". So in American translation "Thuh", sounds a lot like "Ah". Americans and non native English speakers tend to be taught using phonetics, which completely buggers up correct pronunciations :/

"The" doesn't even make sense when you think about it. "The" would suggest that Louis is the only vampire around, when he clearly mentions plenty of other vampires in his story. For example: I wouldn't say I had an interview with THE woman. I would say interview with A woman. That's what makes grammatical sense.

This is a wonderful compilation that conclusively proves the "Mandela Effect" (though I thought objective reality retrospectively changed while our memories remained static thus all of the archive footage would reflect the way it is today? Never-mind - that's a minor quibble). May I ask how long it took you to find and compile all of these clips together? Where did you find all of the source footage? Did you do this yourself? - Interview with a vampire vs. the vampire - What are the titles of this show in other languages? Entretien avec un vampire (a vampire) in French. German is a vampire (Interview mit einem Vampir) Greek is a vampire (Συνέντευξη με έναν βρικόλακα) Bulgarian is a vampire Romanian is a vampire (Interviu cu un vampire) Danish is a vampire (EN vampyrs bekendelser (A vampire's confessions) Dutch is a vampire (Dagboek van een onsterfelijke) Portuguese and Italian (Intervista col vampire) (the vampire) Spanish Entrevista con el vampire (the vampire) Now, what are the odds that several dubbing companies all got the movie title wrong and in the same way? These dubbing companies supposedly all made the same mistake using the wrong title for the movie?? Not only that but they apparently used a title that supposedly never existed but that most of us remember? This is most improbable! The movie dubbing companies did indeed translate the title correctly. Something supernatural happened!!

When the nominees for Original Score are read, she did say, "Interview With A Vampire", yet the sheet music was titled "Interview With The Vampire." Then, only two clips further I thought that was probably the strongest evidence I had seen thus far, Anne Rice, referring to her book as "Interview With A Vampire" . . . or at least until I slowed the audio down to 50% speed, cranked up the volume, and then I could hear her vocalization much clearer and realize she was actually saying "Interview With The Vampire." I was going to mention how I just stumbled upon my mother's VHS cassette that she had recorded a copy of the movie onto (for she always made copies of the originals she owned), and she had written on the label as it being "Interview With A Vampire." Yet, I am not convinced on this one. "Interview With A Vampire" just sounds natural, almost more correct than "Interview With The Vampire," perhaps this is because the word "The" implies that there is only one vampire in existence, and most vampire lore has more than just a single vampire, and then you couple that fact with everybody, including celebrities in mainstream media continuously making the mistake, it becomes ingrained into your memory. Thus, this video does not provide any substantiating proof for me.
@ThinkerOnTheBus
@ThinkerOnTheBus 2 года назад
Although many celebrities are misnaming it as "Interview With A Vampire", the creator of this video continuously places text on top of the existing text that reads, 'Interview With "A" Vampire' whenever Anne Rice states the name of her book, although she is actually saying, "Interview With The Vampire", I don't know if they are intentionally misleading people. I doubt it, because I am uncertain what benefit they could possibly gain from such action. However, I do question if their want to believe in the Mandela Effect is so strong, or perhaps just in regards to this vampire issue, that it affects their perception of reality to make it whenever Anne Rice says "Interview With The Vampire", they instead hear, "Interview With A Vampire." This type of hallucination has been documented to exist where one's beliefs will change their perception of reality, and not only on an auditory level alone, baut across all of the five standard senses. Yes, many of the celebrities are saying "A" instead of "The", but not Anne Rice, she is saying "The" every time.

I just looked this up again because I was watching something about Interview With The/A Vampire, completely unrelated to Mandela Effect, and it struck me that, at least in my experience, it flip-flopped. I found a Reddit about it, with several other people sharing my experience, so it’s good to know I’m not alone, but it sure is confusing when this happens. I suffered brain damage several years ago, although that was after experiencing and finding material about the M.E., and I know my memory is far from perfect. However, I think one of the most frustrating things is how many people will just blame these on bad memory, while I/we know with such certainty the difference between a weak memory and a strong one. And I have no problem with admitting to my mistakes; it doesn’t bother my ego (most of the time) to be wrong, but it does irritate me extremely when others insist they know my mind and experiences better than I do. The funny thing is, I didn’t have a strong opinion on whether it was A or The to being with, but I did a lot of research on M.E.s and this one came up a lot, so what I do remember clearly is that the M.E. used to be that it went from The to A, and now it’s the opposite. For instance, I recall there was one argument against it that said it was just people smooshing together the “th” at the end of “with” into the “A”, hearing it as a “the” instead. It’s not a bad argument, if there weren’t so many people who were adamant that wasn’t the case. Anyhoo, now it appears that even in material from the past discussing this Effect itself, it’s reversed. Either we’re all crazy, or reality is complex and incredibly difficult to comprehend and measure. There’s more evidence for the later, wouldn’t you say?

Just say at the same speed everyone else is saying it "With the" and with "With a", they sound identical. It all depends on how you pronounce your singular "A". If you pronounce it with "ah", the phrase will sound identical -- It is only if you pronounce it as "ay" it'll become different. Not hard to figure out guys! Especially with the pre-imposed subtitles on the original videos of these people saying "Interview With The Vampire...

This is weird cause there is evidence of how we remember it. So what does that say. Also Interview with A Vampire sounds better. Just like Berenstein Bears, that's the one I recall. I use to read it to a kid when I was 17 and would pronounce it as STINE not STAIN. Here is proof of that one... ptl.stparchive.com/Archive/PTL/PTL09121985P06.php (For anyone who clicks to see it, the Berenstein Bears (TV show premiere) listing is in the column showing TV shows at Saturday morning, 7 AM, on channels 4 & 9. And it is spelled “Berenstein Bears.” This is especially interesting since those kinds of listings are (and were) generally supplied by the network to the local stations, who then forward them to local newspapers (who copy directly from the originals.)

In the very first bit of this, David Letterman says the words: "Life is like a box of chocolates" ... I’m confused as to why they’re clearly saying interview with “the” vampire in every scene that Anne Rice is in, but the ones she isn’t in they are still saying “A” it’s interview with A vampire 100% it was my favorite movie! I’ve typed it myself a million times just in telling someone what my favorite movie was? I’m losing my mind.. it altered every interview the creator had direct influence over but possibly not people indirect from it?? The score after David letterman said A had THE written on it

I think there are many much better examples of the Mandela Effect than Interview With A Vampire. The "TH" on the end of "with" makes it tricky. When spoken it can sound like either The or A. Not conclusive. I stick to the really powerful examples when I discuss this effect.

+Neo The Mandela Effect is real. Those who are skeptical say things like misheard phrases became memories. Do this test. Say "WITH THE" ten times quickly. Any fair minded person will agree it can be heard both ways. Now say "Magic Mirror" ten times quickly. Can't be anything but Magic Mirror. Yet millions, including me, remember it as Mirror Mirror. Therefore I think it is a much better example. Also, every time someone says the movie title in this video the words come up on the bottom of the screen with the letter A in red. And yet quite often it is really difficult to tell if they are saying "THE" or "A". That's a bit subliminally sneaky. For what it's worth, I too remembered the title as Interview With A Vampire. But socially I have had more success convincing others that there could be something to this Mandela Effect when I have used other examples. Another really good example is the Bible saying "Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged." Heaps know it, but it's nowhere to be found in any Bible.

WTF!!! New to the Mandela effect, googled Interview and Vampire, and the result came up as Interview with A Vampire. Because I`m usually sceptic i was a little happy to have proved this wrong, that this was to be taken of as a Mandela effect. Going back to the tab in order to get reference to this comment that I planned to put here to "correct" this matter it had changed to THE. Gods honest truth, I was shocked. Doing it again, the search I realized that when I typed the search it automatically suggests what to search, and I absolutely remember it suggested A the first time, and THE the second time.

I think it happens because we all slur our words and thoughts, "with-the" and "with-a" are the a millisecond pause from being the same noise. "life is" and "life was" sound the same too with peanut butter or marbles in your mouth too. My Brit friend would end 'a' with 'er' and 'er' with 'a', like when they say Austrailier instead of Australia. I do love me some Multiple Time Lines too though. I've always loved Interview With A Vampire, it makes more sense, why would he be THE like he's the only one.

“The” pronounced quickly as, “tha,” or, “thuh” in a sentence like, “Interview With The Vampire” can sound an awful lot like, “A.” Especially when the word directly prior is, “with” it rolls directly into the next word, making it sound like an A. And even if there were ads running with a instead of the, it could very well have been a mistake. But idk.
