Thomas Pakenham, the 8th Earl of Longford, is a historian, arborist, and author. His published works include The Boer War, The Scramble for Africa, and Meetings with Remarkable Trees.

I've been trying to find the "king oak of Kings county" that he had in "Meetings with remarkable trees" but outside of the book I can't find anything about the tree on the internet.
