Dude, quit the drama! Everybody know they invested time & money for rolls royce, audi etc. None of them wont hesitate to cover-up patient death due to their negligence for the MONEY! They know none of them wont go to prison coz medical association will protect them so its risk free
Though my daughter wanted to Medicine, which she could have easily got in a Government College with the marks she scored in 12th and in Entrance Exam, i advised her to choose Engineering. One of the main reasons was, that for a brahmin student to get PG admission in medicine in Government colleges is next to impossible. ( She finished her +2 in 2001, got 200/200 in Maths and chemistry, 199/200 in Physics and 198/200 in Biology. In TNPCEE, she secured 20 th rank for Engineering taking into account Entrance Exam marks and got 35th rank for MBBS after taking into account Entrance Exam marks. ) She finished in 2005, got a job in a MNC, working in USA in a leading bank. Though she was sad initially that I did not agree to her request, now she says that this was the wisest decision taken. Similar is the case of my first daughter. She finished her engineering in 2002 got a job in a leading MNC worked in USA for 10 years and in India for 2 years. She later resigned to take care of her twin children. MBBS is a myth.
@@rtx_galaxixIts harder to study medicine or PG even in UK USA or other foreign countries. In USA atleast it will take easily 15 yrs of studying and losing ur life before u start earning. Also u will be in lot of loans by end of 15 yrs
I’m a cardiologist and did all my three degrees under merit , however will never make my kid a Doctor. Not worth the time and effort. The amount of radiation we receive for each life saving procedure is not known to the general public who portray the profession as some money laundering field.
Thanks for the service to our society, You re treated on Par to GOD and its a place where you touch human lives as well. My brother is a cardiologist too and i can empathize the amount of sacrifice to personal life. great salute to you all! God bless.
i always pray Almighty that i should never visit doctor especially specialists etc. One is today all money minded and do not trust any doctor who came thru Quota. I value only merit doctors. Quota is needed in limited way to bring up socially backward ppl but today 70% is quota and do not give value to that.
Kmc my alumni college ❤❤❤. Im a pediatric gastroenterologist now. Ill never make my kid for doctor. Not worth for the efforts we make.....ithukellam suicide panni saguranga ennatha solla
@RamyaS-cg3ho yes life is hard even after completing DM... Better to take some non medical branch and settle abroad or complete mbbs and go abroad don't stay here. May be later if you wish can return...
To all medical students out there, no other profession takes the position of god when you do your job as doctor. So your hardwork brings life to people, be proud of it. Don't do hardwork make it happy work.
Same as you,I joined the mbbs to make my parents happy and proud, which I have accomplished 😂. But in reality, medicine is for someone who is actually passionate and dedicated to it. Well the college life aspect of it is second to none . If you get into a top college in your state, then there will be many programs and other events and enjoyment and also you will get best friends and friendship you can ever get and these friendship and relationship will be there for your entire life. But at the same time you have to keep up with academics , and it's not something easy. Even if you missed studying for a day , that's going to give you some problems. A single subject is more than the physics, chemistry and biology of 11th, 12th combined and there's 19 subjects in the mbbs. And then there's PG, I'm seriously considering not to join for PG because I don't think I'm going to survive that. If you are willing to dedicate your entire 20s into studying patiently with compassion then medicine is a good option, otherwise don't come. Once you joined , you can't dropout, or you will have to pay a compensation of 10lacs . And once you joined, you can basically forget about all your hobbies, and other things you want to do in college. That's impossible with your schedule. Usually the college hours is 8-4 ,but in my college it's 8-5 due to pending topics. tougher than repeat, never-ending records, viva, exams, seminar, presentation, etc. I wanted to do many things in my college life, but that's all ruined. I want to quit, this is too much for me to take, but 10 lacks compensation . So please think before coming,
I can see that future life savers are shy in front of camera but they are not in their career. No matter how much time and money they spent but pls dont compare medical with others, as the service is most successful than achieviement. Critics and jokes apart doctors are more powerful than god when save others. Salute...
Until 2021..the start of warr in Ukraine,..there were 19,000 Indians studying MBBS just in Ukraine Alone !!!!..so just imagine the Strength and Numbers of Indian students Put together studying MBBS in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Bangladesh, Georgia, Philippines.. Kazakhstan, Russia, .. etc..etc...it will be mind boggling number. So the craze for MBBS is only increasing day by day.
The truth is nama oorula padikkra govt med clg students ke job kidaika kastama irukku abroad students ku without exam no way. Exam clearance also though. Avnga padicha country la work panradhum tough at the same time . Epdiym they'll give importance to avnga country students dhan. So choose wisely. One of my known sister studied mbbs in Philippines now she's a makeup artist, other one is doing home baking .
@@resh304😂😂😂 really IMG also struggling to get job corporate hospitals doesn’t care if u study in abroad India deemed college or private colleges, they will pay you the same duty hours will be the same at end of the day ur a mbbs graduate that’s all
Come on folks. In today’s world every profession needs you to be updated with latest trends including IT. You need to learn until you work irrespective of the profession
They are all looking so exhausted and drained. They need lots of sleep and counseling first..It seems without any idea, they have joined and the reality after joining has hit them hard
Good effort bro! expect more from you. Clearly seen that only 20% of them were passionate to do MBBS in high school, remaining were just studying well and parents chose their field of study. After joining most of them are stressed. Its not only in India , but same applies in abroad as well, except that parents dont force kids to study engineering or medicine in the US. but this field is a different world and they all are for a social cause. God bless them all!
Interviewer is doing a good job. Appreciate the effort. choosing medicine as career without knowing what it means,... very surprising... no scope for work life balance for doctors is one finding in this interaction.. they have to study for nearly 10 years to.become independent professionals... how anyone can have passion in a subject about which they do not know anything? school students must do summer externship at medical college or hospital to gain exposure to the subjects, profession and industry .. Slogging for NEET without any exposure to medicine sounds ridiculous.... Looks like students chose medicine only for securing jobs... Clearing NEET as the only criteria to join MBBS! Interacting with people is a good reason to join medicine..as opposed to staring a computer...all the time (I think he was referring to IT profession). Work integrated learning (going to different wards for 60% of time) seems to be interesting part of the medical education.. Surprisingly people seem to know only engineering as alternate discipline... these are the cream of india and their perception of careers is so limited, ... it is making their career decision not so well informed...
It's how most of the medical students are. They don't know about the career options at age of 15. After getting 480/490+ in 10th they'll choose bio-maths and as they are naturally toppers study well- their parents, teachers and society will motivate them to become doctor (as they think that's what the best choose) and finally they score good enough to secure mbbs seat and then they'll realise mbbs is not a holy place we studied for
In my experience MBBS college days are the best days in a doctor's life. At this time itself today's medical students are not joyful and looking worried. Tough road ahead guys... brace for nervy PG neet preparation, bossy professors in PG courses, ____ Politicians, politics in corporate hospitals, stressful moments in clinical practice, not enough savings in ur 40s........ Start Yoga ASAP.
It takes 10-15 Years to get settle. Most stressful and toxic profession.I will never make my kid as doctor even if she Ranks number one in Neet .To all the Neet aspirants if you want to stay happy choose some other profession and get settle in abroad..
Many of my doctor friends are worrying abt their decision now. It will be soo stressful and no work life balance will be there. There won't be even salary hike like other fields. It's just a fantasy of peers that it's a royal job..but reality hits completely different. Majority of mbbs graduates lost their peace and crying in the corner for their wrong decision. If u get to know the pay for first generation doctors u'll understand..Most of them are paid under 30k..There are many other extraordinary fields like IT in which u can get paid over 50L to 1C per annum as a fresher itself..
@@Ginger_Cattt, IT Professionals can earn till 60, but Doctors till their last breadth. It is a service to mankind which gets rewarded by God for all your generations. Only service mind people should study MBBS.

Appreciate the unique attempt by youtuber , interviewing medical aspirants . Most of the students not being exposed that there are multiple courses are opened in medical department. Of course NEET is an evil forced on our younger generation , in a federals constitution. Truly this video is an good exposure.

Don't compare doctor with other professions. Doctors are service oriented and they are saving lives. Though they settle by 25 to 28 age, they can earn till their life say 80 years
Bro, I wish2 know how many TN govt school students have passed Chartered accountancy course. C.A is 100% merit n 0% quotas 4 all communities. Please do that show as well.
Lot of people in comment says it's not worth it, or just too much. But everyone should understand that, that's the reality of studying for mbbs, that's why many would say do not come into this field without passion, its only for people genrally who are dedicated to serving for other peoples well being. But I still feel like from government side they should give something that's counts for ever doctors hard work, don't feel like it's appreciated that much.
Its true fresh passed out mbbs receives around 35k to 40 k and regarding mrb exams which was initially aimed for mbbs passd candidates last mrb passed out doctors r mostly post graduate finished doctors government vacancies are becoming less compared to 10 15 yrs back some one has to feed u for morethan 10 yrs .with more no of medical colleges nowadays survival would be going to be difficult in future No offence but a middle class first generation aspirant but think twice not only about subject but job offers once he she finishes mbbs utmost necessity to pursue pg later in betwwen to help ones family economically or starting a family Working in abroad would be easy with respect to duty hours salary stressfree comparartive to same one in india Rich background students they ve to worry only about subject Corporaisation of hospitals also In short goundamanis Petrmacs light eh than venuma
why all students looks demotivated ... i think we should restrict UG To 4 yrs and PG to 2 yrs ..house surgeon ot any other practice should come within that 6 yrs
MBBS is a very vast course. They are our future doctors who will take care of you, your wife, your children, etc.. Can you compromise in their health? MBBS needs experience
@@sabarirajan5139 Its not so simple...Medicine is vast and ever evolving....so it takes time to get a hold of the subject and one needs adequate exposure to patient care before beginning to practice. It is the life of another person/child a doctor will be dealing with (and not a machine where you might afford to make mistakes) and hence need to be that much more aware of the subject. It is indeed an extensive period of training for doctors (but definitely lesser than US/UK where UG itself is about 7 years), but if we are given a decent stipend during the course, there will be some financial stability and mental peace to focus on studies as well ... that is my point of view. ( I have just completed a super specialisation course in Pediatric hemat-oncology after MD Pediatrics)
@@letsevolve396 even if you are service minded, you still have to earn enough to feed your parents wife and children. And if you don’t own a house pay rent.
@@wowser2153 if a doctor does his work properly he will obviously make enough money but that should not be reason why he wants to become a doctor or just because it was one of his options.. money is the end result and if u make that ur primary focus especially as a doctor, everyone gets screwed.. you can say any of these reasons which these people said for any other profession but as a doctor a profession which is looked as equal to God (someone who saves lives) by some people you are not supposed to say these as the reason why you want to become a doctor... there has to be an underlying "PASSION" to help other people and that should be the only reason why you want to become a doctor., AND ONLY SUCH A PERSON TRULY DESERVES TO BE CALLED AS A DOCTOR!
Started in 2010.... Now doing super speciality... So almost 15 years... But not settled even after 15 years... Have to start the career after 15 years... Is it really worthy to spend 15 years to start a career? Don't know what to say

Good content. Clearly distinguishes passion vs ability to crack competitive exams. Most in our society choose mbbs based on some forced dream from parents. Not something inspired by oneself during his/her education or inspiring personalties. But the ability to crack exams can be attained with faculties such as proper coaching and disciplined study schedule. However, that's not something that drives one towards happiness or future career. We need to measure passion and future goals for mbbs aspirants somehow, may be with sop or something. I think that should be an important eligibility criteria to enter these heavily funded and demanded study courses. 🤔
There is a lot and a lot of human exploitation happening in medical field.....we need to study for 10 -15 yrs,no proper work regulation timing, toxic hierarchy structure, no personal life..... public debate shows should put this system for debate and create awareness.
Very nice interview. Medical students shared their life inside medical college beautifully. They are also having normal struggles as every other students have. congrats for the interview.
Naturally, if you are a person who has interest and can perform to read a lot, and then can express the learned stuff then best studies for you is this doctor studies. Read, Read, Read, Read, perform reading, mainly observe and express clearly on what you learnt and understood, if you have this skill naturally then join this medicine or doctor studies. Don't bother or think about earning while studying. Naturally when you have strong skill then money pours automatically. Added to this you should be a person with strong determination that is not to get distracted with any device or anything.
Doctor profession is not a great profession as a public think. Here you learn how not to eat on time, how not to be with your friends and family , and learn how not to sleep😢😢😮
Being a doctor is a nice profession serving mankind, unfortunately great struggle during course and even after finishing working, you will not have any personal life, financial stability also nothing as compared to other professionals, not worth doing such a hard course with poor outcome, but passionate then ok
Bro I had 17 arrears in my BE and today I am earning more than 20 lakhs per month. Please dont waste your youth and precious time on degrees, only study if you are really passionate, and not just for becoming MBBS

Doctors are treated as God,but is God so unhappy?like these kids, only those who are passionate should choose medicine otherwise for the sake of prestige noone should takeup this career, there are a lot of branches of science to choose.
Lol that is the reality of mbbs in India. All of us came into this field with passion and we are trying our best everyday. But the working conditions are so bad that makes us like this. Tired and unhappy. Don't comment if u don't know. We as doctors still want to serve people but it's taking a toll on health. Working 48h shifts on a regular basis you can't expect them to be smiling and happy all the time!!
