This interview was so invigorating to watch. It’s amazing to know Miss Universe had such dedicated fans even back then :) I love Daryl Jagga’s stories and it’s amazing that he can recall details so well and that life brought him to the front row and meeting the contestants back then! It’s a pageant fan’s dream, and for me who wasn’t even born yet at that time, I can imagine what it was like with these stories! Thank you so much for this interview with Yvonne. These interviews are priceless
Yvonne is a very unique name for a person who was starting learning English back in years ago. I’m glad that our Miss Thailand 1984 was once join the top ten spots with this beautiful woman. Once a Miss Universe always Miss Universe. Love from Thailand. 🇹🇭
In the 1980s, yvonne was my favorite miss universe. She looked so sweet, gentle and very beautiful. Lorraine Downes from new zealand is also like yvonne. I love them both. Porntip from thailand and angela visser from holland and shawn weatherly from the US round my top 5 from the 80s. The latinas were also sweet. The 80s of big hair and big shoulder pads did not ruin the beauty and personality of the winners. Sweet, gentle, gracious.
So sad nowadays Sweden no longer both competed and getting more placements in Miss Universe I really hope someday they can regain back their pageantry strength like they used to be in the 20th century. ❤😊
I wish that they hadn't cut Yvonne off when she was about to start talking about her and Margaretta Arviddson after Hillevi's death that would've been an interesting story.
Thank you for posting this podcast. As one of Yvonne's Facebook friends, it's always a pleasure when she has something to post and now to see her on a RU-vid podcast is extra special! I'm assuming the Miss Universe chat that was mentioned is on Facebook. If so, could someone steer me in that direction, I'd love to join in. Thanks!
I remember the ‘80s Miss Universe and I agree were the best ones… and of course I remember’84… wonderful and I did loved her dress and true, matched the personality which is so important… ♥️
I remember vividly Yvonne's crowning. I thought that she was so humble and beautiful. I thought that the dress was awful though (just being honest). Yvonne still remains beautiful and humble to this day!
She´s still so beautiful, she knew how to age gracefully. I hated the background music, it was really annoying, please don´t use music again in future interviews.
