Maybe mountain lions are just chill like that. I got one that naps on my patio every few weeks. I don't feed him. But I have put two fingers out of my sliding door. He likes chin scritchies. 2 fingers is an acceptable risk to pet the kitbull. But that tongue does damage. Only get 1.9 fingers back. So I try not to mess with him. Almost had a heart attack once, because he was out there when my raccoon mafia pals showed up. But he didn't go after them. And they didn't seem to be that scared. One even walked over and they sniffed each other. Cats are cats. Some just got beefier hardware. If you run into a wild lion, its gonna act just like a feral housecat. Its just... you aren't classified as a giant anymore.
