#Prepositions na yata ang pinaka-confusing for learners of #English as a second language. This is even made more difficult by the fact that we don't have a lot of prepositions in Filipino. That's why we need to talk about this.

Video like this is a big help for those people who can't go to school. By watching this and understanding the lesson it's almost like you went to school. With the technology that we have today, new generations are very lucky because free education is always available on their screens. It's really an advantage!

It is sometimes because you are more matured now than before. Maturity matters when learning, the brains and other functions of your body needs time to ripe and absorb all the content that you wanted to fill in. So you can say, "You learned a lot NOW than BEFORE". But if the time is to close like NOW is today and BEFORE is last month then thats mean LYCA CHANNEL IS LEGIT HELPFUL AND EFFECTIVE.

I hope po na makagawa kayo ng differences between through, across, along soon.
@indigofenrir7236
@indigofenrir7236 4 года назад
Strictly to denote passage... Through: you pass through a location which constitutes everything around you: the ground you're walking on, the surroundings, and what's above. You walk through the forest, hell, the park, a cave, but not a bridge. Across: you pass across a location which constitutes only what's below you. You travel across the sea, a bridge, national borders, rooftops, but not a house. Along: the location you're focusing on is right beside you, and you are matching its direction but not passing into it. You run along the highway, along the railroad, along with a friend, but not along a tree.

I liked the way you speak English. You're very articulate. Wondering if you went to international school. I'm living abroad and have access to TFC. I know this vlog is about proper usage of grammar but I thought I have a question on correct pronounciation. I hope you would not mind. I noticed Pinoy celebrities do pronounce the word "seconds" differently. for instance, in a game show. If I were to pronounce it should be "sekEnds" (American standard) as opposed to "sekOnds" (Spanish). Well, I guess it's a matter of preference? Anyway, thank you all vloggers so much for sharing your expertise to us,. Indeed, very helpful esp. to Filipinos. Glad, we have this kind of vlogs which is very educational on You Tube. Sometimes we need to stay away from too much negativities, from different kinds of bad elementd and focus on positivities especially at this time of pandemic. Again, thank you so much and keep up the good work!!!

Hi! maam Lyqa, can you differentiate the word close-up and up close. and exemplify an example thanks
@indigofenrir7236
@indigofenrir7236 4 года назад
Up close is an abverbial phrase, roughly meaning "nang malapit". I examined his face up close. It can also be an adjective. He wants to be up close and personal with his feelings. Close-up is strictly a noun. It roughly means "palakihang imahe". I need a close-up of the suspect's face. Good luck in your English.

@@AQUARIUS-1991 You used the terms we've discussed correctly, but while we're on the topic of grammar... - Close-Up in this sentence is a proper noun (pangngalang pantangi) and needs to be capitalized. - You also need to capitalize your second I and add in a full stop at the end; but since this is typed, I guess it's fine. - You made a comma splice, which is the separation of two or more independent clauses with a comma. Add "for" or "because" after the first comma. Other than that, you did well. 👏👏
