@@krutzcatmusic4566 Nice, still pretty impressed with how fast it got out. By any chance, are you working on other themes, specifically the one that played in the same fight as this one, when Blaster Dark Revenger appeared in. It was a really cool violin theme and as a violinist I was hoping to hear that again.

@@Lightwing39 that one is actually a big work on becuase its a solo so theres alot of detail packed in one instrument, but its so clean and epic that I must. It might take me month or too. Right now though I'm working on a original track as a theme for my brother.

blaster dark theme would probably most definitely be a orchestra readdition as replicating the electronic sounds is gonna be hard.

There are a lot of different ways to begin transcribing, but a majority of the time it relies on the ear and you have to listen to the track that you're trying to transcribe and focus on the song itself regardless of background noise. It can be difficult with some pieces and easy for others but the process is really like reverse engineering of the song itself. the method I use is that I identify the key of the piece first in order to play the correct tonal groups and establish the chords. then I try to find the notes after that on the keyboard while trying to dictate the rhythm. Once I got all that, I can establish a time signature that would most neatly pack the melody. The writing part can be difficult sometimes because osts and soundtracks could have some notes that are tied and held longer over measures or it could be written so that the melody is on an off-phrase or even upbeat rather than the downbeat. Also let's not forget you have to identify the instruments used in the track, luckily I have a fair amount of knowledge on an orchestral structure so it wouldn't be an issue but for others, you may not be able to identify some instruments in some tracks. Transcribing that would take a few listens through the track, counting, and sometimes an improved part in order to figure it out.
