Worked a month straight on this bad boy, glad to see the reaction I wanted from it. Shame the only people I could bamboozle were the people who initially watched the stream while it was under the fake title 'Dispatch'. Special thanks to Ryan M. from the LAPD for reaching out and helping with the codes and police procedures. I had almost no time to learn about police stuff so this video wouldn't have been possible without him. It's not as big or ambitious as my previous Halloween shorts, but the idea came to me late. I was kinda trying to see if I could take a pre-existing concept and expand on it in a way that was unique to me, as I know with the nature of SCP, some people probably aren't too thrilled abut me not featuring any SCP's they're personally a fan of. It's no guarantee I'll do anything off the wiki, but it's a start. Take care, and enjoy the rest of spooky season. I'm going to sleep.
The Backrooms are so viscerally terrifying for me. It combines so many fears: being suddenly cut off from the world, stuck in a never-ending maze, slowly realizing no help will come, fearing you're going insane, then just as the loneliness starts to drive you mad you hear growling.
I feel like ive been there before but it scares me and there are apparently ways out like through a dark wall or something but that could.also take u even further down and never end or somat and id be too scared of the creatures id just shoot myself and give up instead of going through that torture
My nightmares consist of something similar to the backrooms, except the rooms consists of, well, the whole planet. I'd randomly appear in someone's crawlspace or clipped half way out the ground and people walk passed as if I'm not even there. Their faces all messed up and they don't talk. Nothing makes sense like the environment being lit up like daylight but the sky is dark as night or random patches of snow in the middle of the summer.
The fact this was made in GTA V before Kane Pixels live action backrooms. Is really impressive.. especially since this was made in 2019 Till this day.. this is one of the best gta v backrooms ive ever seen Edit: yes I know Kane use blender for his backroom videos. But it’s still called live action anyways since it does look realistic when we first saw his first backrooms video
Just an FYI, I don't think Kane's stuff is live action. I think it is animated as well. It is super well done, but you can notice subtle movement quirks that are unnatural to the "researchers".
@ThatBarCode RBLX Disgusting behaviour expected of a Roblox player. He wasn't even trying to insult you. This just shows how negative your mind is as a result of your game's shitty community. Go back to your shithole of a game.
Going back and watching this now, I feel as if a key part of the Backrooms horror has been lost - the existential dread of realizing that our "reality" is actually some kind of eldritch simulation, potentially one cosmic glitch away from a hard crash, one exploit away from becoming a hellish existence.
Yea you're kinda right, we are dangerously close to this universe going to shit and still being there even if it's just for another second, because like evolution, "if it works don't fix it"
No, the backrooms has never really been that. That's more of Kane Pixel's thing. While the original post mentions a monster, I feel the backrooms are better sorted to be completely devoid of anything.
This is where nerf darts go after you shoot them. (Edit: I've looked through other backrooms videos and saw comments like this, made before and after this one, please do not hate if this joke was already used because I thought it wasnt.)
Well the video is a bit blurry and the camera was set at bad angles to hide that it was GTA5. I could tell from the beginning it gta from the driving and the other cars on the road (Played it for 6 years)
Well I'd have to say that I instantly knew this was GTA from the way how the moonlight hit the cars creating a very bright effect on the environment around the player. (Been playing for 27 years)
I like how his fear is represented through anger and frustration. He’s a cop he’s probably been through some shit, and he’s ready. But he gradually gets more and more scared making his actions more desperate and impulsive. Cursing, then trying to call for help, then the nerves kick in and he’s full on sprinting
I like this because Ive had this idea in my head that the entities in the backrooms are beings from alternate dimensions that have also nocliped in just like humans and can make it their habitat. This opens the possibility of intelligent entities who may even help people to escape the backrooms in their own apparent schizophrenic crazed way.
One of my favorite is that the backrooms is easily moldible to creatures psyche. It begins as, well, backrooms but the more unsettled you become the more it changes, even becoming hostile. It warps everything that enters in, like those backroom creatures that are apparently living colonies of microbacteria. Its a realm where nothing makes sense, and it tries to correct itself but always fails or stops short.

I always feel so much more nervous when an anomaly is passive, just kinda sitting back menacingly. I get a kick whenever something just starts charging at you.
if the anomaly is attacking you, you have a target. something you can attack back, to try and stop it from killing you. but if its passive, you dont know which parts are deadly and which arent.
Same. When you see something and then it just doesn't move, suddenly it turns and there's that awkward moment of nervous silence, which then turns into : - A very terrifying chase scene Or - Suspenseful moment and it ends with the anomaly going back to doing it's own thing.

I've heard something about a guy that no clipped back out of the backrooms. There are also different things you can find in different levels, like almond water, smiler spray (i think that's what it's called?) and more. There are also small groups or traders, which are real humans. The entities in the backrooms are often other humans which have gone insane over time and have become an entity.
This is like getting lost on your first Patrol solo as a security officer in a new building assignment. So does this imply that reality is a giant video game, and that the Backrooms are a glitch in the “source code” that we, the “players,” can accidentally stumble into? Creepy concept, I love it.
Hanakin Sidewalker The concept originally came from strange images of places like those yellow halls, or places with impossible architecture. It grew from 4chan and memes, and creepypstas were formed. This just makes them in video format, and they’re horrifying.
@@mysteriousfleas Funny.. As I was watching, I had thought it was so dream like, and thought to myself, what if it was a dream somewhere and now it's here?
Better way is to go into third person, turn on shift lock, stand with your face against the wall, get out your gun, and then turn around as fast as you can, it rips you out of the map and once you fall far enough it spawns you back to where you were before the backrooms (it works because taking out your gun while against the wall causes the gun model to spawn outside of the wall)

This is honestly what i imagine a hell would be like. Repeatedly going through never ending rooms that look exactly alike and slowly getting worse and worse as you progress further into the maze. Shikam187 It would be really cool if this officer was part of the SCP Mobile Task Force Iota-10 “Damn Feds.” Basically, they are SCP MTF impersonating cops all over the world.
This still remains the most scary realistic depiction of the backrooms, simply because it follows the original script of an infinite hellscape where you will be alone and rarely encounter horrors beyond your comprehension
Mom: "where have you been? I've been telling you to do the dishes for the past 7 hours!" Me: *oh, I just accidentally noclipped out of reality and into the backrooms while walking downstairs and fell into the backrooms for what seemed like days and was about to go insane from the buzz of florescent lights, scraping, and growling when I saw a figure in the distance standing there like it was judging me for my past crimes and began to run at me before I cackled like a madman knowing I was going to die in the next 3 seconds before shouting my final words: 'FUCK SANITY!' before I appeared halfway down the steps and started sobbing silently from having a mental breakdown about what just happened.* "I uh, fell asleep."
He died in there so he came out to "reality" basically the real world will slowly morph and entities will form around you until it slowly turns into level 0 and the cycle continues
Evan - This is the video that the Kane Pixels crowd wished never existed. Please resist all presure to ever remove it. Someday you will need this more than you can imagine.

@@azurianumbreon Apparently one of the many entities that can take form are those who lost their sanity in the back rooms (by not being able to find other settlements or others, as well as escaping the levels they are on, or just eventually losing it by not accepting where they are) and become hostile. On what you were saying here, it could very well be one of the entities (as I guess we can be left down to interpretation and our own comprehensions of this) that use to be said as the missing wife?
The back rooms are such a weird thing for me, I love the in detail lord and “levels” and the beings within but something is so much more interesting unexplained. I like the back rooms as just a weird point in time. An inbetween of reality that cannot be mapped and you cannot leave. Like the void squidward goes to in that one trippy episode with the time machine. Less is more is all I really mean.
Honestly same. It's so interesting to me. Like SCP's, I know it isn't real, but it's still so creepy. How long has it existed? How does time flow in there? So many unanswered questions.
The entire CreepyPasta could legitimately work as a tv series. It could be an anthology, with each season or episode focusing on characters in a different level of the backrooms.
Either impossible or impractical. Unless, the wanderer willingly gets there through research and spells in the Frontrooms a bit like the villain in Shazam, The Goonies or Indiana Jones. Then, they want to understand the meaning and secrets of the Backrooms and doing so is the only way out would be an interesting plot if you ask me.
I like to think that the first person ever trapped in the back rooms now acts like its custodian. That somewhere in the infinite emptiness he's just wandering around with a mop and a bunch of fluorescent lightbulbs keeping the place tidy.
i think this is the only "expanded the world of the backrooms" iteration i love, no whacky monsters chasing you nonsense, just you and your mind slowly descending into madness
Holy shit, the creepypasta scared me but this scared me so much more, I find it so creepy and only of the only few things that scare me, being alone in a maze, dim lighting, a strange voice, and then something running after you. I honestly thought the guy was gonna kill himself with his gun
Neth the Meth It’s actually NOT impossible. The trick is, that you have to accept that it’s your home now. When you’ve accepted it and you’re walking/running around, you’ll find the exit. But this is not it. Only a few people have escaped but they were so convinced that the backrooms were their home, they felt like everything else was fake. Therefore every single one of them killed themselves.
@@pip2252 So, those people who actually can't handle the backrooms and killed themselves. Do they die on the real life too? Or they'll just wake up from a nightmare?

I always pictured it being.... different how I'd end up in the backrooms. Like im playing games just to pass time, the game glitches(so badly I just say "ehh, guess I'm done for the night") then when I go upstairs and open the door it's just nothing but backrooms in front of me. I obviously turn around and go back to the TV area, but all the power's out, eventually I'll get just have to accept there's nothing to do, but I don't wanna enter the backrooms, but it's the only way out of the tv room. Finally I decide I just have to go through to leave the TV area, I walk maybe 10 feet and turn a corner, when I go to head back to the TV area and turn the same corner, it's totally different and now I'm just permanently stuck in the backrooms.
I know the chances of practically anyone seeing this amongst the sea of other comments, but if anyone, even Evan himself finds this comment, I just wanna say; This might just be my favorite backrooms video in the ENTIRETY of RU-vid! It's just absolutely perfect, this is what the backrooms were always supposed to be! No overdone jumpscares, no monsters in plain sight to where they arent even scary anymore, no overused or overcomplicated plot, it's just amazing! It takes straight from the ORIGINAL 4Chan post, and you put a little twist on it, and made literally the most perfect backrooms video I have ever seen. The idea of our reailty just the creation of some creator, and we are all "players" who can accidentally "glitch" through it to see warped out of bounds areas, which include warped mysterious creatures beyond imagination, for once a Backrooms video sits nicely in my mind, rather than all the others that dont really portray the horrors of the backrooms, but rather the "cool exploration and yellow walls with frightened protagonist whos being chased around by a large wire monster". The backrooms isnt the same anymore, it's been ruined, completely changed by these little kids who want to only make memes and stupid wire monster stories about it... even on stuff like the wikidot where it tries to mimic the SCP foundation, which its really not! but then you have this. I personally find this take on the backrooms to be better than any of the others, this sits nicely wearing a CROWN on top of the pile of "shrek and skibidi in level 2915793592 of the backrooms real omg" stuff. Of course theres takes on it like Kane Pixels backrooms which I think is also amazing, but at this point Kane's backrooms has strayed away from the original idea of backrooms itself and more towards a lore-filled action-packed drama story. (Which isnt bad, but its just not the same anymore) this singular video right here however, worked amazing as a one-hit wonder, perfectly capturing everything about the backrooms and nails a story so nicely it doesnt even need any other videos or episodes. Every aspect is just so perfect and rather loyal to its roots. Just, perfect...
I believe the reason the backrooms has such an eerie, nostalgic feeling for so many people is because of our age. If you're between the ages of 25-35 you probably remember your parents working in offices that looked like the backrooms when you were very young. In the early 2000's that aesthetic was largely replaced, leaving only faint memories of the beige tint of everything, the buzzing of lights, the smell of old cardboard. The backrooms directly accesses that part of our memory in a way few things have managed to do.
I remember going in a place eerily like the backrooms. You remember those car parking lots that kind of spiral upwards, surrounded by concrete, everything is tinted a slight urine yellow, and has strips of neon lights at the top? I have a vivid memory of walking through that type of place alone, and it sure as heck scared me.
I’m deadass when I tell you that this video reminds me of a nightmare I actually had like a month and a half ago, except more of a decrepit warehouse/construction building Edit: I also remember being behind a college library for some reason
I was in one too when I had that dream, but then I was in a defunct elevator. There was two other people, but then the elevator fell and like I went back to my room where the dream continued. There was a russian woman who told me to not go in the closet, but I did and then these things began chasing me.
this is definitely one of the best backrooms videos even being 4 years old. The police narrative fits so well, the voice acting. And what i love about this one is that when the guy goes in he doesnt stay at a boring snails pace the entire time like the others. Its so realistic to see them start to jog a little bit at the beginning since they are afraid and obviosly want to reach the end of the hall way quicker for reassurance. The camera movement in this just feels like how a real person would move around in this envirnment for the first time. the gun, the tension, the build up, the spooky voice, it all just fits to be the best backrooms video there is. Perfect amount of action and perfect amount of build up.
